Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Ok, I ordered the pinless peepers for my snotty hen after chatting with several folks on the CW chat while his show was on (had Dr Brown of Firststatevetsupply.com) including a few celebs and all were of the opinion her recent PMS from h_ll attitude
D.gif
is most likely due to her molt which is also making her feather plucking habit return and the Doc doesn't think it has anything to do with protein since I have upped everyone's to help with their different stages of molt/feather regrow etc.

Anyone have suggestions on the best way to "install" pinless peepers?

LOl Nope but when ya figure it out let me know I also have a feather picker, got a set given to me and be darned if I can get them to stay on..........

Jim them little boys are settling down well they are currently playing all over the pen, and will be going for a nice walk around the property after supper. Glad The guy is fixing the bad shaft, and you are getting the size stuff you wanted instead......... don't know what your talking about but as long as you and Adam know I'm sincerely glad...... I miss you guys already, it feels so much like home at your place, I guess I'm home sick hehehe....... well Adam is taking his CDL test tomorrow, so everyone keep your fingers crossed no idiot kid decides to hit him or scream out in front of him making him fail the test or something...... they are pretty fussy I guess from what a few guys have told him, you are not allowed to miss much at all like maybe 1 turn, or hit a curb or something and you fail............ driving those monster long things is hard enough without the other crazy drivers out there.

So anyway gonna go finish up supper and take the rambunctious boys around the block a coup[e times..... Later all

Hello group!

I took Shandy to the vet today. She's the one who came up gimpy a few weeks ago. Simply keeping her separated from the others wasn't getting her to mend. We x-rayed her today and it looks like she has a dislocated hip. Vet #1 said she's going to check with hubby Vet #2 for a second opinion. So I'm back at home waiting for Vet#2 to get back and have a look see. Shandy seems alert and is eating like a champ. Vet #1 said if it's a dislocation there may not be much we can do. We'll see. But I bawled on the way back home. Snuffing out a perfect little life... way too hard. ... because of a bum leg ...and therefore a lousy quality of life... This is why my hubs has my phone and is waiting for them to call with Vet#2's input. *sigh*

So we're waiting for the call. Will let y'all know what's going on. Btw, nice call GR & TO who both saw the video and thought it was a hip injury. You've been playing this chicken game for a while haven't you?

I'm decompressing in the backyard with the other 4 chickies. They keep trading dust holes to bathe in.

Talk with youse later.
sorry to hear this

, we have her twin here if needed.......

Making country style ribs on the grill tonight. Picked up some fresh green beans from Farmer John's stand, and have some home made potato salad. Going to make some cast iron skillet cornbread in a bit to go along with everything.... yummy!

Bothered the poor folks at City Hall again today.... still searching out a few ideas but getting closer... you should see the ordinance book for this little city. It is about 4" thick (regular 8x11 paper sheets). I do not know how anyone makes heads or tails of it either....... without extensive research or a Law degree!

Beautiful evening..... I hope I can coax my neighbors out onto their patio for a nice chat.

Kim, love the pics!

MXM, good luck with your poor baby.....

bbl, dinner calls

Good evening...Dan you are a sassy guy! THose pups sure are adorable Kim! I hope they work well for you! Sorry to hear about that hen MXM! I tried to pop it back in when I was there but maybe I didnt do it hard enough. Hard to tell how hard to twist and not hurt them! One time when
I did it I actually heard it pop right in and the bird was fine! I was totally amazed...

My experiment was a SUCCESS! I took all the juice and put it is my crock pot and cooked it all night...then all day! I canned it up when I got home after adding salt, pepper lemon juice and sugar. THis is what I got. It is very red and looks fantastic! (for something that might have been thrown out!)

So it will be good with vodka at any rate!

The rest of the tomatoes I boiled today and canned them up as crushed tomatoes for chili and sauce. I only got 5 and 1/2 quarts! That was REALLY a lot of tomatoes! I usually feel a little ripped off when I do tomatoes because they dont make a whole lot. Dont ever make paste...talk about a lot of work for basically NOTHING! LOL!

OK--well I am heading to my friends' place for a campfire. Have a great night!

I took the bent shaft to Ron.. he sent me to Bill. Bill is going to make a whole new shaft and re-bush the clutch pedal and ream out the oblong holes so that I can put 3/8" x 1/2" bushings in..
I could not locate a shaft online....

Oh Jim..... I can't help it...
-bent shaft
-whole shaft
-re-bushing around a shaft
- then reaming of holes

YOU. ARE. KILLING. ME.    :lol: Poor poor Oliver!!!

To my dear Doc... You are sassy as well! Poor me and my deformed ear, the butt of your jokes. Oh well... At least I can amuse you in my purulent state! I was going to say pussy state but I KNEW that would be read another way....... ;)

Thanks so much for the kind words of support while we're going through whatever is wrong with Shandy!

Turns out, after oodles more scans, she does not have a dislocated hip. All bones are in tact as well. So that's good. Her leg is looking so wonky. Like it doesn't know it's supposed to be attached to her body in a certain way. Vets say it could be nerve damage at this point since it's all been rather degenerative since day 1. -a slow slide downhill, getting ever worse and never better since she got hurt. It could be a LOT of things. But to deal with it, we're going with physical therapy here at home. I'm going to work her little chickie leggie at all joints carefully a few times a day for the next week. We're hoping she won't be any worse in a week.

Kim-Devil's Claw or Cat's Claw, hey? Does anyone know where I could find that in Madisonland? TerriO did we discuss maybe Willie St Co-op or Whole Foods?
I'm so sorry to have read a day or so back about your Bugsy, Kim. Big hug dear.

Nicely done tomato goo Terri!!! Way to go! Have fun yukking it up around the campfire tonight!

BigFam -sorry to hear about yr piercings! Egads, good idea to not try THAT again! Get better soon!

Goodnight all...

Evening All...what a great weather day here today. I'd like a month of this stuff.

Good job with the drained off juice TO....yep, i think a bloody mary is a good way to consume the good stuff you saved. We picked another bushel today and we are goona make salsa and juice for Angie now. It's gonna be awhile til we are done canning here....beets and carrots, as well as winter squash for a few on the menu to deal with yet. The squash will be frozen though.

Tasty supper bl4...nothing beats ho-made!

Good Luck with the health problems some of you are dealing with...hope everyone is feeling better soon. missed you at the last bash dooner...hope you can make next year's get together.

Best wishes with the new additions ghost. They will keep you busy I'm thinkin.
