Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

The Pack better show up tonight! Better go let them out.
I don't have to do that anymore.

As for the Pack, ya gotta love watching them play in Lambeau on TV and hear the crowd ever so clearly chanting "the Bears still suck!"

Count yourselves lucky, you probably won't hear too much outta me for the next few days. Gonna be crazy busy. I hope it won't take me a week to catch up again. I'm already a couple pages behind as it is. Back to a bit of reading, then sweet dreams, all!

Post Game evening All....Happy Belated Birthday Cind...I didn't know it was your special day either.
Good luck on the road Adam...it was my life for 30 years...alot of drivers on the road with bad attitudes...that part sucks having to flip folks off....LOL!

Suzie says thanks for her birthday wishes...she loves gettting older like you bl4....me not so much.
Beats the alternative, that's for sure!

How about that double D tonight....he's the best! Sure was nice to see cutler sacked 7 times and throw 4 pics....nice to have a win for sure.

Yep, the vaseline works great for scaly leg mites...sevin for the other vermin is hands down the best.

I'm shoppin for a new chainsaw....not sure what I'll get. I need a small one first...think the clutch is shot onmy trimmer...nice to have a small saw for the limbing part...the big heavy boys should be laying on the trunk while cutting I always figure. Prolly husqvarna or makita. My neighbor sells the makita and is really good about service when you need it.

I jus knew you were watching the game TO...my ear was ringing.

Kristi, I do NOT recommend WD-40 at ALL. My Moose had a bad case of scaly leg mites. It took a long time to get rid of. Vicki is correct that a dust will do nothing. The mites burrow way up underneath the scales. The only way to kill them is by smothering, and the best, albeit messy & a PITA, way to do it would be to use Vaseline. That would kill them the quickest, but it really is a pain and the woodchips stick to it like crazy. If you only notice it on one bird, I would separate that one & try treating it. If later on, you see another bird with signs of them, then I would consider dusting your coop down. Or you could apply the Vaseline at night so 1) the bird is more calm & 2) the Vaseline can sit on the legs & soak in all night long with hopefully as least a mess as possible.

The reason I would never use WD-40 is because the bird's body will absorb whatever oil you put on their legs. When I was treating Moose, his feathers always felt so oily. It was kinda nasty, actually, but he was a shiny devil.

I first bathed Moose with a tea tree oil pet shampoo to get his feet really clean, then I used mineral oil on him & scrubbed it in gently with a toothbrush several times a day. After a while, he would see me pull out the toothbrush and would actually stick his foot out so I could scrub it, that smart ***** rooster. Good luck & HTH.

Hi All!

Krist... nice score on the shed/coop!

DrH... I need some nice big "chicken art" for my front lawn.... that would do!

This one looks allot prettier from the top down! LOL

These should go too... A Dom. and I thought it was a Crevecoeur but he doesn't seem to be getting the head poof... he looks like an Amer.

If your the least bit interested let me know and I'll get a better pic. if you like.

Well, got stuff to do .... night

That better be alfalfa hay and the greenest stuff ever.......... that is ridiculous, my hay guy is still charging me 2 bucks a bale, its grass hay and I'm praying he doesn't run out because 5 dollars a bale is outa my price range, I hollered last year when I had to pay 3 for good alfalfa, and that almost put me in the poor house...... guess my fat horses are gonna go on a diet at them prices.......

BigZ, would you like my DH to take a stab at your saw? He is the master of the small motors...... people give him lawn mowers all the time when they don't 'work'... and he has them going in 20 min...

Thought I would ask since you are not THAT horribly far away.... Tell Suzie Happy Birthday for me as well!

I checked out the site for the Hot Mess Mud Run last night...... they are timing this one and I am miserably out of shape and NOT ready to do this..... oh well, I know I will have fun!

Time to fly off to Oshkosh.....

Later all!

Melissarunningouthtedoorandforonceisnotlate!

Beautiful Morning Everybody! BL4 sounds like it's getting to be your turn to get old. You'll find out after the mud run. Good Luck! Cind Nice lookin birds! Think Donny is paying $3 for good hay. Would hate to see the price tag on that cement roo. His son works at the ornament place and think it was a present. He's the guy that gave me my roo on the stump as a retirement present. Laura gave the hen. Bigz I bought a Husqvarna 14" limb saw and only have one complaint. The handle doesn't go all the way over the center of balance but it's light enough to use with one hand. Wish I would have looked at some Still's. Had a couple of guys at work arguing over which was the best saw to buy. I told them one that doesn't give you grief! I've had my Still for over 20 years and have replaced very few parts on it.

But if you watch any of the logging shows you'll notice that they use Still's. TO think we can make a convert out of you yet. Was glad to see the Pack show up! Quite the defensive game. Ya gotta love the guns on Mathews the Monster. I just love watching the new additions their so funny. Should have never posted 4-6 eggs a day now back to 3-5. Going to get the garden pump put away today and bring in some wood. How much longer before that Oliver is up and running Jim? I'm waiting..... Making a double batch of chili this weekend and maybe some more veggie beef soup with the last of the fresh stuff. Won't be long before we get frost.

good AM, was a fun game to watch.. Annie made 12 qts of tomatoes.. she thought she had tomatoes cooked for 14, but they cook down quite a bit..

I had a piece of my belated carrot birthday cake for breakfast.. Annie makes the greatest carrot cake ever.. Kim and Adam will have some for supper tonight..
what ingredients do you need for biscuits and gravy ? we prolly have most of it here..

Yes, I have the parts on the kitchen table.. in just a short time, I am going to go out and see if they fit..

DrH, I have to get my picture album straightened out.. One of my daughters "organized" them and now I have several small albums and I don't know what is where.. I was better off not having them sorted out..
Nobody is more apprehensive than I to get that Oliver back together.. I have great hopes of hearing it run this weekend..

Any ideas how to install a brass female fitting into the radiator ? I have to find a place to attach the temperature gauge.. gage,,,guage....gouge ....

Mel, hope there is somebody waiting at the end of the race with a wheelchair for you..
I have a couple of spares you can borrow..

I had a McCullough 1010 , but my nephew stole it.. so then I bought a Stihl.. I made them put a longer bar on it so I wouldn't have to bend as far.. It ran with no power when I first got it.. they set the carb with their dynometer,, then my bff set it with a modified screw driver by ear and it has been roaring ever since..

...
I have a Husqvarna lawn mower; I wouldn't recommend one to anybody.. IDK about their chainsaws.. remember, just about everything on them is Metric........I paid $45.oo for a 4" V pulley..
