Well Shandy's condition is deteriorating very quickly. This is some sort of degenerative situation not a simple wrench of the hip. (Merricks? Who knows...) She's been doing the front/back splits for three days now. Her legs aren't stiff they just always settle like that. If I put them in normal chickie sitting down position they make their way into the right leg full extended out front and the left leg stretched out back. My interactions with her today are finally indicating discomfort as she was pecking at the leg in front. I don't want to witness this beautiful creature hit any new lows. Never once throughout this whole thing has she ever shown improvement. So when hubby gets home he'll as kindly as possible help her along into the next world. Whatcha gonna do? I've been enjoying cooing at her and petting her. She closes her eyes and seems to relax when I do.
