What is it with these dang cats? Every time I sit on the bed with the laptop I have one climb into my lap, or they plop right in front of the keyboard so I have to sit hunched to type. I would move them but they are keeping my toes warm.....

Mine like to sit on my laptop keyboards or run across it when I am on it, so many times they shut it down or changed the window to full screen. not sure what is their problem.

today i have to hook up the water heater. It is getting so cold at night now I am afraid the water will freeze. hope the girls, don't fly around too much in the coop. the did the first week and knocked the unplugged heater . if I do decide to use a heater, I am going to have to get a cage for the heater to protect it from being knocked off,

well I suppose I should go, I am complaining how cold it is and it isn't even close to what it will be.

Dan that's just too cute! Vic that was me that asked what you were using on moulters. Peatwo picks at the incoming ones and they never grow but they better soon. Put the Nu stock on my list for Thurs man shopping spree. I can't say it enough although I think L is getting tired of hearing it. I love my tractors! I drop and drag trees with the Case to my bucking/splitting area. Buck them up hand toss the small stuff in the pile then push the brush into a pile and push the stuff to split into a pile. I save sooo much time! Was just thinking back to when I first started cutting and burning wood. I had one saw, a splitting mall, a lawn tractor, a yard cart and the flat bed. I'd buck the trees up in the woods load them in the cart unload them, split them load them back up and stack them by the back door. Think the first year I made 10 face cord. Now have 2 tractors, 3 saws, a splitter, and a wood shed. Have made around 30 face cord this year and that's with not cutting at all last spring or summer. Movin on up........to the top la la la finally got a piece of the pie.

Finally hauled my butt to the coop, I let them out earlier and gave them seeds in the covered run but didn't go inside the coop.
checked at 11:30 frozen water, so I hooked up the water heater. I turned on the heater to see if it worked. Got a dust bath from all the dust inside the heater. Will check in an hour or 2 to see if the low low setting makes a difference.

Just came in from taking care of poor CrockPot's bare butt. This time I used Bag Balm however instead of the NuStock because it's supposed to be cold again tonight and the petroleum jelly will act as an insulator for her (not as) bare bottom. Lots of little new feathers starting to pop! Boy, that NuStock is a wonder!!!! Her skin no longer looks cracked and dry either

Of course, that might be to all the cat food the girls have been getting to up their protein and help their diet since they are all not only molting but in a worming cycle as well (got Valbazen yesterday). BTW~a big THANK YOU to whomever told me to just put it in a piece of bread. Nice whole wheat and they gobbled it right up! Also took your suggestion and didn't bother with the chick this round tho. Been watching (I just LOVE staring deep into chickie poo) and so far no sign of anything, at least obvious, so

. Crock has also had a very mild, more on than off, case of pasty, more like white leaky, butt so she and Soup (kind of the same) will be getting an anti-fungal next if it doesn't disappear after the worming. THEN!!!! that should give me 3 healthy chookie mommas

Another cold night, looks like. Just can't bring myself to complain tho since I have been chatting with chookie friends on the east coast and they are already beginning to deal with power outages and flooding runs and the worst isn't even to them yet.

Dr H~nothing wrong with a bit of "sharing" about how thrilled you are to not be doing the "logging" like you used to anymore! Your current setup is great and could only be greater when it all belongs to you free and clear!

Back from Glidden finally! 4hrs with 5 kids and my mother in the van...glad to be home. Bought some fresh eggs from the gas station in Glidden that had a label that said the eggs came from a farm in Butternut. Anyo of you? I thought that I had seen on here that someone was from there. DH called me 2 dayds into the trip that our little girl goat Sugar had died

Don't know why but she got sick and it was too late. He gave her some shots and said she was drinking but woke up the next morning and she was gone. My DD6 doesn't know yet and she is going to be so sad. I was was waiting to ter trell her until we got back. Well I am 100 posts behind so I better try to catch up! Have a great night all
