HI EVERYONE!!!! ALL DONE WITH MY PHONE LINE UPGRADE AND I'M STILL HERE!!

My sweet hubby even stood over me with a blow dryer going to keep my hands from freezing as I did the outside connections

who ever it was that asked about my try with the Chicken chick's flock block recipe and my chooks refusing eat it~I am sure it was just my spoiled girls. They probably thought that was too much work. They give me the stink eye if I don't get the moisture right in their evening mash, sigh.

They clearly have me well trained.

They're just lucky they're so cute!

Did I tell you that I popped a couple blocks out of the floor of my greenhouse so they would have soft ground to dust in in the winter? It stays above freezing in there most of the time during the daytime but gets much warmer if there is just a little sunshine. It is now the girls favorite hangout. I had to go out there today and put the dirt back into the holes that they had EVERYWHERE. So now they get to start all over again. Sometimes I go check on them and the dirt is flying!!! I don't open their pophole in the morning til it gets close to 20 degrees and the path is always shoveled to the greenhouse door. If it's too cold or windy they literally run in a line to the greenhouse and don't come out til I chase them back to the coop. Of course I make sure they have a nice snack of greens or grain while they "play". They also have a couple hay bales to sunbathe on.
Yes, I know, crazy chicken lady here

On a side note...I have an egg eater..she did it in front of me today while I was collecting them and she ate the shell too. Any way to curb this or just cull?

Got some good deals after Christmas..... have to stop at Cabelas to exchange my Stormy Krommer hat that I got for myself.... need one size smaller I think..... Glad Christmas is over..... I spend way to much on myself..... LOL

Was hoping to adopt Thunder and Lightening (parakeets) at the WI humane society but they are gone ! Loved their names and colors.

Will be on the road tomorrow hopefully before all of the nuts are out celebrating.....

Dr.H.... Good news w/L! Hope your sleeping good.

Jim... that sounds like a great Idea! I'm going to try posting a sign first. If they ignore that...then they get their plates back at meal time. As far as help with the dishes... DH puts in 60+ hours a week and dose do his own laundry. Older son can't stand well enough to do them and it's too hard to try to put a stool there... I've tried. Young son, maybe. He uses more glasses in a day than I think he needs to but I'm working on that too. He's the one I get the most guff from about helping out.

CC.... I think that has been the bane of housewives since the dawn of time! OK, because of my health my house isn't as good as it could be, but I do clean every day (what I can) and allot of what we (as women) do never gets noticed. But if we go "on strike" we're lazy and don't care!

The only help I ask for is with the carpets because the vac. is too hard on my back. I will hands and knees the rest. DH dose bring the mash (which I have ready) to the girls in the morning and let them out, however with it being so dark yet, young son has been doing that. I don't have a job so I don't ask for much help and that's fine.... just don't make it harder than it has to be!

I had one that was only eating white eggs. I only had 1 white egg layer and she died so the problem stopped on it's own.
