Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

ok, during my absence I must have missed the ho-made Bailey's recipe can someone point me to that post?

Mentioned it to my DD Leslie and she NEEDS it !!!!

in 2010 we shipped a 1088# pumpkin to Ireland, she got a free week long trip to accompany it, the town that held the festival was also the home of the Bailey's dairy,,,,long story short she and her traveling companion developed a fondness for "Irish Cream"

and Carol, the SLW was used in creating the GLW so I'm thinking very similar,,,size of birds varies esp if they come from a hatchery..

tks
Look back on page 2899...

Thinking about picking up the ingredients today too and whip up a batch for the big game tonight!!
Looks like I have almost all of the stuff to make it already, just need the sweetened cond. milk and the cream! Figure I'll put the bottle of Jameson Irish Whiskey in the cupboard to good use in this!

TO.. will you be able to watch the game at your retreat this weekend??

For anyone who might be interested I just ordered Exhibition quality GLW's eggs. I hope I got enough. I ordered a dozen. I feel that it might say exhibition quality, it does not make it so.
I guess I will see shortly.

Delisha - very cool, those are pretty birds.

that you get some showables from them. :)

hi all, I just made a batch of chili to eat while the game is on tonight.. Of course I had to sample a couple of bowlfuls to make sure it is OK,,

I took the carb off of Ollie and took the choke cable off.. I was going to fix it, but now I decided to go try to find a coated one..

Bailey's.. Dan, if you did not find the recipe yet, let me know..

a tip for all of you making a batch.. do not do as the recipe states.. do not add all the ingredients and blend.. somebody mentioned that their eggs were "stringy".. yuck, eh?

start with the 4 eggs in the blender,, don't worry if they froth up,, the cream will take care of that later..

add the ingredients one at a time and pulse the blender each time to mix it in well.. Add the whiskey last.. guaranteed smmmoooooth..

May have driven by a few of ya, I know Kristip for sure on our way down to Brodhead to pick up the newest addition to our household. DG wanted a Mastiff, well she got one today. Now to take some time getting "Nola" adjusted!

Haven't been on in a while, I hope everyone is well!

Our RIR has stopped laying for the moment, but which ever Red Star is laying (of the 2) is still producing. Just raked the floor of the coop and sprinkled some oatmeal for the girls. They LOVE oatmeal!!!

DH is making Ox tail soup for dinner tonight. Its a new recipe, so I hope it tastes good.

The rearrangement in the living room is working out really well...I love it actually. I've got my rocking chair by the window and I can stay connected to the outdoors even when I'm inside!

DS had his first basketball game today. His team won. I was really surprised at their ability level for a bunch of 3 and 4th graders.

I am looking for a few items to use for decoration purposes, if anyone has any that they'd like to get rid of message me. They are: old wooden ladder, old metal rake, wooden pallets, wooden milk crates, washboard, old wooden shutters, burlap sacks.
