That is funny! Wyandotte?

I guess $2 isn't a bad price, IF they are only 2 years old. But if you want good, steady layers for a long time, you'd be better off getting chicks. They're more fun too. And cuter.........

I'm not even commenting on that stinkin' game.

Thanks for making me laugh this morning, DrH. That visual of Jim & his coffee creamer were too much.

Ok, now that I have had my morning attack of dumb, does anyone know anything about Purely Poultry out of Fremont? They list having having sexed Golden Laced Wyandottes chicks.

Trying to catch up on reading/posts:
Vicki: I was in the same dilema last year and added 7 new breeds to my flock. I currently have 12 or more pure bred breeds, and then mutiple other mixes. I have to say-My easter eggers personailty is so sweet and friendly-I swear I hear them purr when I hold them! Plus they give some pretty eggs!!
I also like the orpingtons, Lt Brahmas, and faverolles personality. Orps have great size eggs and lay well. (And several of mine ARE broody lil buggers-one is broody right now in the middle of the winter).
I can't speak to the laying ability of my faverolles or brahmas as I cant tell which are her eggs yet-but the easter eggers are laying every other day and its winter!
My bantys have huge personailities as well-I know you want to stick with LF...My banty cochins are sweethearts-I would assume the LF Cochins would be the same?

TerriO: Happy belated Birthday!!!

Delisha: Are you wyandottes friendly? Mine aren't really friendly but also not scared-jsut indifferent. However they dislike being picked up and my GLW is one of the few in my flock that trys biting my hand when I pet her at roosting time. She also is also the one that last summer was "sunbathing" on the lawn chair with my daughter-wings spread on her side-all-out sunbathing! LOL

Just finished a batch of GF iced pumpkin cookies with pecans, white choc chips and cranberries-YUM!
