Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

My hubby would probably like that, but I'm still not eating it. I think I was maybe ten when I tried real beef for the first time. It's been a forty year love affair since. Hate fish too, but I will eat it if I have too. It's funny because those are the only two things I really dislike. Well I didn't care for turtle or frogs legs either, but didn't always know what I was eating. Still have some suspicions, but me mother claims to have Alzheimer's when we bring it up.

Hi newbies....danechick I'm in Poynette, so just over the county line really.

I do not blame you..I too love my other red meats..pork is my favorite

I am still not crazy about it..however I can choke a few pieces down with a ton of onions and bacon. The lack of smell really helps.

I like to disguise my venison as summer sausage. There is an excellent smoke house in Evansville that makes a great summer sausage in 12oz. sticks so you dont have to find a way to eat 2 lbs once you thaw it out.

I could bring some to the bash to share.

we love venison here!!! clean, chemical free and yummy! If you know how to cook it right, you can't tell the difference. I've actually had people at my table swear they hate the taste of venison while sitting at my table chowing down on pulled venison on hard rolls and wanting the recipe!!!

Hey All,
Cute chick pics!!
Speaking of deer.. two people were total.. (insert unspeakable name here).. "goobs" last night.
I was driving to meet up with Kristi last night and see a deer laying on a lawn, on the side of the road, alive but not going anywhere.
I stop to talk to the home owner who was already aware of it and had called the sheriff to dispatch it.
I went on my way and on my way back I see its body shoved almost on the road just lying there, now obviously dead.

The driver who hit it and then just kept going is "Goob" #1, probably the same type who would hit a dog and keep going.
and the home owner is in a minor way "Goob" #2, for not calling some one who might be able to take the deer, once dispatched.
A total waste of a life. I know so many people who love venison.

I do think the sheriff would have allowed the home owner to take the deer.

I love to make Venison tacos!!!

My hubby loves that stuff too. His sister keeps him in a supply. My nine year old LOVES it. Me not so much.

Really? He first now is crowing for you? He didn't have a problem here.   Silly boy.

Yes Jim, I see you lurking. Please join us.

Prayers for your mom, Heather.  :hugs

Yes - the neighbors hadn't heard him before this either (unless he crowed very early while still inside). All of a sudden he's big stuff with his crowing and strutting.:woot We need a rooster smiley!
