Terri, Lisa lives up by me, so it would be a two hour trailer ride for your horses...... BUT you can ride the trails at Hartman Creek State Park! It would be GREAT to see you!I would appreciate all the riding pointers I can get! It sucks that I learned to ride so late in life...... as in I am terrified I am going to hurt myself. I think it is easier when you are younger and think you are invincible......

Made a couple of beef roasts tonight, and I am glad I did! It was chilly enough for a good roast! Cooked up the rest of the sugar snap peas and used up the leftover potatoes form the other night. Yummy! I also sat down and FINALLY watched The Avengers. Good movie! Sorry I did not see it on the big screen!

You know that cat I was telling you all about? The one that has decided to velcro himself to me since we came home from vacation? He is glued to me right now, making typing quite difficult since he is sitting right under my right elbow....... oh good, he decided to move.... but not very far I am afraid. Laying down acting as a wedge between the DH and me is apparently his roost for right now.

Tomorrow the training begins........

CS, I will be headed down your way the weekend of the 28th.... my cousin invited me to see Heart with her. It promises to be a fun trip, as long as the construction in Milwaukee is not too bad at that point. Speaking of construction, the 41 bridge in Oshkosh is just about finished. It will be 8 lanes!!!! I think it is a bit of overkill, 6 would have been good enough but apparently they think 8 is better. I will look forward to no longer having to sit my way through traffic jams to and from work.

Honestly, when it comes to name calling/stereotypes based on assumptions or generalizations, I do not participate or pay attention to the details of what is being said by the individuals that are doing it. My general philosophy is to get to know individuals and decide whether I like that person. If I don't like that person, I do not hold it against anyone else with similar hair, skin color, religion, political view, geographical location, etc.

Just got done eating supper. ET made shrimp sauted in butter and a backed potato... said we are out of canned veggies... hmmm another trip to town....

Went to Antigo to get some West Nile EWT vaccines for the horses....There goes an easy $200. Then of course we needed more chicken food, large dog food because the pot bellied pigs made pigs of themselves and got the garage door open and ATE ALL of the DOG FOOD..... $30 for 40lbs... No they couldn't have eaten their own food !!!!
So added a bolt lock to the shopping list for the door... They are strong little suckers and will keep pushing the door in... knob must be loose or whatever....

Went to the junk store in town to see if they had any nylabones for Puppy... nope but ran into a woman who drove a real nice brand new SUV... can't think of the name right now but she had two 3lb yorkies, a cocker spaniel and an Australian shepard in the vechicle.... Adorable little things. We got to talking and she lives in Wausau. She has llama's and has a cart for them. She is looking for some new reins for driving them. Anybody else drive llama's ???
We got to talking about animals, critters etc and I gave her my email address.... DraftAppleRidge @ .......com I said because I have Draft horses, Apples, Draft Apples and live on a ridge...... get this..... she asked me if the Draft Apples make good Wine ????

It took all I could to not crack up !!! I told her Draft Apples..... Horse Poop !!!

She laughed too.... then she said there is suppose to be some new kind of apples grown in or near Hatley that make good wine.... I told her I would ask all of you since there is always someone who knows something about everything on here !!!

Just an FYI she was not a brunette or Redhead btw !!! Just kidding...

Got home and let Princess out of her kennel.... only to find what I thought would be true.... she is a chewer...... TG I took my wool purse that was sitting next to her wire cage and moved it... It would have been toast... She managed to pull a plastic bag through the wires and shred it to pieces. Bought her some small nylabones at Fleet Farm. She seems to like them. Funny what having a new dog does for your existing old ones. They sure could use some chewing for their teeth but weren't to interested until they saw Puppy going at it....

Hope tonight isn't a repeat of last night.... All three cats took turns laying on me.... with just a sheet for a blanket when Nash started kneeding me like he was making bread felt like I was a pin cushion. Halo Kitty the newest kitten decided twice that she wanted to jump from the dresser about two feet right on top of me.....wonder if they all are jealous of the new Pup.... guess it's time for a bigger bed.

VickyW..... I've never heard of that berry place. Where is it?

Delisha.... That's all you feed a day is 1 1/2 gallon of the FF a day for 150 birds? Does that include the ducks ?
I really need to start feeding this if they eat that much less.

Ok... that should do it for now..... need to take my sleeping pill so I can go to the laundry mat tomorrow, spay clinic in Crandon on Monday, Wausau Wednesday... ??? on Tuesday.......

If it hasn't changed color or anything it probably is ok. It has quite a bit of booze in it, (see the label on bottle) The recipe that I got just said to refridgerate.
Thought it would have been drunk by now !!! LOL
Tastes good over ice or straight up.... !!! Now I want some... lol Maybe tomorrow.

My birds have been looking for dry land too! Young son had to put a couple of boards down so I didn't get stuck in the mud by the coop!

It's not that I hate ALL tourist .... just the snobby ones that act like they own the place.... and YOU!

The new hen seems to be doing OK. Didn't eat too much yet, but dose peck a little. She likes the little roost in her cage. I'm sure she'll be fine once she adjusts.
Pepper took the little ones to roost in the big coop.... so cute!

French I make my own fly spray. In a gallon jug I mix - 2 tbsp Dawn dishsoap, 1 cup apple cider vinegar and 1 cup of iodine and fill with water. Now this isn't a cure all but it does help as I stopped buying commercial sprays as you use so much and had problems with hair falling out. I also dump a gallon of acv in each trough of water.

good morning, everybody must be at church..

I want to put my two cents worth in about dogs in cars.. I had a border collie who would jump into the back of my pick-up as I drove down the driveway.. I often left him inside the cab with the windows cracked a couple of inches.. when he was laying on the seat and breathing through his nose, he was not too warm.. right ? well someone decided he was being mistreated.. left me a note.. this is why I left the windows open just a crack.. the pick-up belonged to him when I was not in it.. If I had left the windows open wider, some a$$hole would have stuck his hand in there and tried to pet him.. NOT the thing to do with him,, so to avoid people's stupidity, I had to limit the opening .. I could have left him in the back of the PU, but the same thing would have happened,
At the restaurant, I would leave him in the back of the truck,, the people there knew enough to not to try to pet him if I was not around.. If he got too hot, he would crawl under the truck.. just saying,, just because a dog is left alone,, does not always mean he is being mistreated..

DD#1 is bringing my "new" 10 inch wide Murray tiller out today.. $7.5o at a rummage sale.. 2 cycle.. If I can get it running, it will be perfect for inside the greenhouse.. I hope I don't gas myself.

She is also going to be my assistant and hand me tools and materials so I can get the roof finished.. I did about a 3rd of it yesterday, but it is too much up and down the ladder to get anything accomplished..

Just finished dinner...HM chips with avocado, pulled pork, pepperoni, salsa(2 kinds), Sour cream, olives and cheese! YUM!

I might have to have popcorn too! Nighties--gotta head out and lock up. DD is staying where she is house sitting for the night.
