She's going to St Vinnies in Green Bay. No chemo so far (thank goodness) unless the genetic testing reveals something. She is early 40's, and no history in her family either. She'll know more in a couple weeks. Thanks for the well wishes!
Tell her I thought she was only about 30 (well tell her 29), seriously, she looks like a thirty year old !!!
They do things a lot different I'm sure then when I had my BC, going on 25 years next month. Four days short of my 30th birthday. Because my tumor was so big and being younger (it is more agressive in younger women) I got chemo, radiation and a total mastectomy. Not an easy thing to do at 30 (the surgery part) The chemo was a piece of cake compared to the lung cancer (mets from bone cancer, not smokers lung cancer fyi) and the bone cancer at ages 13 & 15 yrs. I quit the chemo early and told the doctor "You try it !" LOL Guess I was a bit fiesty back then too !!
So, with all of that being said...... I"ve said it once and I'm up on my soap box again for a moment..... People, Listen to your Body and what it is telling you.... Women, get your mamograms even if they make your boobs turn into pancakes after doing them every year (oh wait that is old age that does that !!! LOL)
Men, get your prostrate checked out. I know you don't like a finger up you @ss but oh well.....and everyone over 50 should have their colonoscopy !!!!
AND Quit Smoking for Gods sake... Life is to short.......... Note, I didn't say anything about losing a few pounds.... I'm still working on that so I can't lecture anyone about that....
Cooler in the house then outside........ might not go out !!!
Oh, and on the duck duck goose saga..... I have 4 baby geese. They manage to sneak under a tiny gap under there run and leave Mamas (2 mamas) They stick around and when you walk toward them they will ditch back under. Don't have the heart right now to not let them come out. Knock on wood I haven't had any trouble with raccoons (neighbors take care of them) or coyotes or fox yet this year.
Plus with both Great Pyrenees and chocolate lab keeping an eye out it's quit a bit safer.
Oh and yesterday ET called me outside to see something..... There was a Mama Peahen with a baby walkin around. Then we sat outside to watch and their was another one.... I thought I was missing a hen... One hen had sat for over a month in the green house and never hatched an egg so I took them from her. So the missing hen obviously had a hidden nest. I think that is what got my black shoulder hen last year.... you know what they say about a sitting duck. Guess it applies to peafowl as well.
On the guinea front, no babies yet BUT I have quite a few missing as well and I'm sure they are hens sitting on nests, wondering when the little ones will make their grand appearance. My muskovies are sitting tight too.
Man, I don't know what I am going to do if all of those ducks hatch.... I have a problem rehoming... rehoming anything roosters included.
Looking into buying a swimming pool. Just a smaller cheaper one but I need one deep enough to tread water..... It is really the only form of exercise that doesn't hurt this old body.. Anyone have any suggestions on the ones that have the blow up ring on top or the metal frame poles? Intex or Summer Escapes. I see
Walmart has a 14'x48" for $277 and a 16'x48" for $349 not on clearance yet.
Would have to find a flat spot in the yard and then have ET build something on the side for me to get into it.
