Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

WIChookchick- BCMs are Black Copper Marans. They lay the dark chocolate eggs and are a rarer breed. I'm getting hatching eggs this week and will sell the extras. I don't know how to sex them till they are older.

Thanks Goth Chick.. I don't have a broody or an incubator.. .darn..

I am selling a saddle I rescued this weekend, and will do a GREAT deal to a BYC'er..

Here is a descrip, and a link to pics...I will sell for 225 to a BYC'er if you want it!!

I am selling a 16 in. seat, Circle Y Park n Trail saddle I rescued from dirt and mold at a tack sale. All cleaned up and ready for fall trail riding.
NO tears any where, all conchos accounted for, some rub marks on fenders, but no scratches either!!
Add some silver and PRESTO.. instant show saddle!!
FQHB=8 inches. It does come with a felt girth and off side billet( which is UGLY).
I have it at my home as I have spent the last 2 days cleaning it. Oiled w/ neats foot oil, and cleaned with oil soap/saddle soap.
Asking 300 OBO, I paid that much for it, not clean!
Can ship OR meet, buy pays shipping cost, will accept US POST OFFICE money order only, unless buying in person then cash is good.
Located in Oregon WI.

WIChookchick- You don't need a incubator or anything. I am getting Black Copper Marans and a few Olive Eggers and hatching them in my incubator. I just can't keep ALL of the chicks that hatch because I don't need a ton of chickens. So after I hatch the eggs I will be selling some of the extra chicks. Some I will sell right away and others I am going to sell as older chicks or adults. I am just giving people a heads up and taking a list of people that want to buy some of the extras I will have.

to everyone new, glad you found us!

DrH- that is so cool! Bet it feels good to be home.

Gothchick- keep me posted if you end up with extras, are they all hatching eggs?

We didn't finish the coop this weekend as we were hoping to, had a few things happen on Sunday that slowed work. We have to finish getting the one pen done so that we can move the birds in and use the kennel panels that are the current pen to make the new one! Maybe get some more done tonight as DH is on his way home- a bit earlier for once.

Have a good evening everyone!

abrehmer....Another welcome to you. Glad you found the cheeseheads. Nothing but the best Cheese here! Hope you checked out the javas nearby...they are nice, and wippet is a cheesehead too. I'm glad you are involved in 4-H with the children. It's simply the best effort by everyone involved....you know that right!
Our friend Jim butchered 15 ducks yesterday. First year he used duck wax, and said it is a godsend.
Glad the bears lost last night.
What a glorious day here on the hill. God I wish I could live much longer than your plan...
