Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Thanks for all of the rabbit advise. Probably will neuter Mr. Gibs (cheaper).
Do I need to isolate her for health watch?
Also, can you tell a neutered male from a female? I'd hate to bring home this rabbit, thinking its a female, and have it be a male.

CC-sorry about Jack
TO-sorry about your friends daughter, but congrats on the anniversary.
Cuties-congrats on the mini
Cind-congrats on the return of Natas
Welcome to all newbies
I second Deli's comment about swap birds and in fact I think all of my future additions will come via eggs.
umm..males have a penis..not that hard to find unless they are very young.

here is a how to

Cutie.. I am the wacky lady who met you while your hubby said yes to the mini for the dirt cheap price you got him for!! The one who is offering you something and you emailed me.. tee hee.. Well don't we feel more than a little silly... both being at the swap, being on here and not knowing each other.. LOL

BTW I have been on BYC for a while now.. but can't seem to get my old password to work and resetting it does nothing so I created a new one...

I should have had Minis where I said ponies, but everything I said applies. They tend towards fat. They also tend toward hay bellies. I had several Minis but only one quarter pony. They quarter pony was much more like a horse than the minis (but he was half quarter horse). I had a tiny Arabian type, only 28" at the withers. He was a handful! Then I had one on the large side for a mini as well at 36". Both were registered, but the smaller one really looked like a miniature horse, the other looked like a Shetland pony all the way. Enjoy him, they are sweet! I thought you were going to come out and get some riding lessons cuties...I guess you have been at a swap every weekend

Wouldn't that make your quarter pony something else since he was only half quarter horse.. like a quarter-quarter horse.. or an 1/8 horse... LOL
We wanted to breed our quarter horse to a halflinger and get a buck and a quarter horse... ( I kid I kid.. my DH came up with that one...)

Hello fellow Cheese Heads, I am in southern wisconsin, going to hatch out my first chicks this january, VERY excited. :) Had chickens several years and 3 kids ago. :) We also have horses, saw several horse posts out there. Just wanted to say "HI!" Right now have 3 kids (5,2,1) My hubby, 7 horses, 1 rabbit, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 2 goldfish. :) soon to be owner of several silkies! trying to be patient as we're in coop preparation now and want that all nice and set, then getting my incubator for christmas, then eggs and fingers crossed some silkie chicks! :) have been doing crazy research on incubating and hatching, hoping to be ready. am always ready to talk horse too, had them all my life, members of our local saddle club for several years, just trail ride, but oldest is just joining 4H so may be doing some showing or trying little britches next year. :)
