what type did you get? My DH says there are 2 types, first type is a fluted nail and has to pre drilled with a smaller masonary drill bit and the other type is a cut nail and you use a big hammer to drive it in. Hope this helps.

Good Morning Everyone! WCc Try your local concrete provider , Ace , or building supply outlet. That's weird. Love Red Green used to watch him on PBS but haven't seen it in years. Have some on VHS tapes. fm I'm with ya on the Brett thing. He couldn't hit the broad side of a barn yesterday. Think he'll be warming the bench and Childress will be handing out resume's. TO don't know why put can't make a pumpkin pie to save my butt. So buying 2 of those and making 2 apple to take to my sisters. Heading out shortly to drop drag and buck up 2 trees before the rain moves in. Supposed to windy tomorrow so I'll split then. Need to dig out some orange first just wearing my brown wood clothes is not a good idea. Don't have to worry about trespassers this year they can't get across the ditch without chest waders.

Wow just reread my post Gonna have edit better. It never fails just as I got the saws ready to go it started to rain. Went out and at least got them dropped. So I'm back in the house getting the dishes out of the way so as to make some bread. Then have to see if there's oxcidation on the cable connections to the reciever in the bedroom. Have had problems with it since the flood, don't know if they make a signal booster or not it's always been problem off and on. The installer told me I needed a heavier coax cable going to it. It's only 40-50'. Maybe will call Radio Shack. Better get goin.

DH got a deer!!

That will cut down our meat bill for sure this winter!! I haven't heard from him today, wishing him luck is snagging one more but he said its just been dead with deer traffic there so maybe it's a no go. He dropped a buck, said it had the makings to be a 10 pointer but it got all broken up??? so now is like a 7?? Dunno what he means by that. I don't care about the antlers, I care about the meat! He comes home tonight, good I missed him. He'll skin, gut the deer tomorrow and we'll get it all thrown in the freezer! He estimates it to be around 150lbs, but I don't know if thats w/guts or after gutting lol who knows.

Another day of clinicals and I did the majority of the draws today. One patient I just couldn't get!!

I tried on him twice and no dice. Oh well, all part of the learning experiance. I just hate pokin' em twice if I don't have to. They already get poked so many times a day. Had that wonderful storm to drive home in. Siiigh.

Well, I gotta go do some homework, it's due by midnight tonight and then I got an exam tomorrow. Sheesh, isn't working 8 hours a day for free enough for us poor students?! It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't drive so far. So i'm up at 3am in the morning and on a good day get home at 4pm, and i'm only up for a few hours before I go to sleep. So, it's hard to balance all these other tasks. Oh well, our online class is halfway over, then I will only have the exams that go with the clinicals luckily.

Once again I am caught up. (on reading) LOL and now I'm having a hard time spelling, and thinking. it is WAY to late. I got up at 5:30 and got my DH off to work.... o.0 <----- my raised eyebrow! the guy that rides with him didn't show...... he called his boss and we got up that early for no reason cause of the rain that was to come in there was no work. at least the kids had school, so I had to get up by 6 anyways.
no deer yet?! ( hopefully though concidering we didn't get one last year.
went out today and got all my baking ingred. I will be making (let the mouth waterering start....NOW!) 2 pumpkin, an apple, a banana cream and a choc. cream! Im saving making the lemon for christmas. maybe some bread or rolls too. depends. well I better get my rear in bed. talk tomorrow! maybe?! :O)

Ok, I am NOT looking forward to driving in the slop forecast for tomorrow!!!!! The people driving on 41 are bad enough on GOOD roads! I think I'll try to avoid the bridge at Oshkosh, I really do not feel like taking a swim into the lake with my car......

My DB and his wife are heading this way for Thanksgiving from Minneapolis; they were planning on leaving Wed. evening but with the nasty weather headed this way I think they will postpone their trip until Thursday (not like the driving will be much better....).


I better get going, another long day in the works.

Well we didn't get any deer (don't hunt yet) I was seriously impressed by our neighbors, he got one buck and two doe, his brother Cody got a great buck too.
I asked if I could take pics, and they said SURE!!

Pies are done! Mmmmm, well not the cream pies I'll make them tomorrow night, they'll be better that way. I also made a pumpkin "bar" for dessert tonight, the kids all got a little teaser for snack. now what to make for supper? oh ya! I remember left over steak and what else but eggs?! LOL still thinking hard about making those buns.
nice bucks there! I would rather see them in the freezer and not well um like that. mainly cause when I see the deer hanging it means to got alot of work ahead of me! LOL!

I'm so upset at DH, I had to butcher a duck for a friend and he said he'd help pluck. So did the deed just before I had to drive bus. Got the water for scalding ready. Then started when I left every thing going good thinking when I get home some fine plucking be done by 5 or so. Well I get home find out the minute I left so did he duck sitting on the counter, so water is cold duck not even dunked, DH says sorry I'll pluck, had to get DD from pep band he's at it when I go. He calls get me some wax the Internet says so ??? What. Get the wax get home, all the skin on the breast is gone. I said we can't let anyone have that, he melts the wax and dunks, what a mess. That was enuff. I breasted it saved as much as possiable now I have to kill a different duck tomorrow and start again.
