good morning, m2bteach, that sure wasn't much research on that incubator.. you must have had your mind made up already . the Hove is a good one.. so is the Little Giant.. get the fan with either one,, and also get the auto turner.. lot of people on here have the Brinsea.. I have never used one of them, so I can't comment ..
If you are going to get really serious, the GQF sportsman is a good bet,,
and if you are going to get really really serious, I have a few 2000 egg incubators that I would like to get rid of..

If you have any trouble with holding steady temps in the styrofoam ones, let me know, I can help you out with that problem,,.

I am sipping my first cuppa made in my new single cup maker.. I am not impressed with the flavor so far.. I will have to learn a little more about it before I make a good cuppa..

19 eggs is two days from the chicks.. gradually increasing every few days.. I think even the Dels are starting to lay..

I have a BO pullet who never laid an egg who is acting broody already ..

I think I will get Ollie going today.. will be my last day for awhile to plow before the temps plummet .

I had a brain storm while laying in bed deciding to get up.. I have some waterers that can be connected directly to a water hose.. I am going to try to make a gravity waterer from one..
I don't like to hook up a hose to any waterer, the water overheats in the hose in the summer time and around here the hose would freeze in the winter time..

Good morning everyone and welcome to the newbies!

It's sunny out today. We just passed through a fog but if the sun stays out, I might be able to convince the hens to venture out!

Deli-I put out the FF and it's frozen. Will it be good when it thaws? I figure that it would be but thought I'd ask.

I checked that hen this morning for mites....none. Then I noticed some neck feathers missing so I checked for injury but was shocked to find that she's molting....again!! She's already had a full blown molt this fall. Anyone else ever have a chicken molt twice like that?? Could she be sick or lacking some vitamins? And then I have a light Brahma hen that is just starting her first molt ever...she's almost 2 years old. Crazy mixed up chickens.

I went out this morning and I also have feathers everywhere. I'm not sure who is losing feathers however.
