Jim, Let us know when the runt is born, then we will know the end is really there. What kind of dog is Puppy anyway, I don't think I ever heard? Congratulations, puppies are such sweet things!

Nine babies Jim....you will have your hands full....hooray
eeeYUP !!

I would like to keep all of them and make a dog sled team.. wouldn't that be fun ?

right now it is Dora who has her hands (paws) full.. I should say, belly full.. they are all lined up and hanging onto teats ....

a couple of years ago,, before she came to us,,, she had 13 .. that time she was bred by a Great Pyrenese ..

Hi all you chicken experts

looking for a bit of advice . . .

We lost one of our RIR's at the end of that last cold blast, it could be that she was older than we were told when we found these birds on CL . . . I agree with Jim, can't always trust people. I ferment my layer crumble with ACV and added some to the water for a day or two after the RIR died, but the flock appears to be fine. So the question to you experts . . . I picked up a bottle of Performance Poultry (Probiotics & Electrolytes) from F&F, has anyone on here used this, and if I'm already giving them ACV through their food is this supplement even needed?

BL4: still keeping fingers crossed for you being 1 of 3 applicants

Jim: Fun times for sure in your household, just love those little fuzz balls.

First day I have the place to myself since retiring - so I best bundle up and check on the chickies.

Spoiling the DH tonight....

BBQ ribs in the crock pot, and going to make cornbread to go with.

Relaxed most of the day today, the kittens were entertaining running all over the house.

I will not hear about the position until middle of next week. I was a good girl today and wrote out individual thank you notes for each person who interviewed me. That and the pie are my accomplishments of the day.

Jim, how many puppies now?????

Thanks Delisha - that's pretty much what I thought. Just being a nervous newbie, and stupid one since I opened the bottle and can't take it back

Sandy don't be so hard on yourself, while ACV does help with gut health (in some opinions) it does little if anything to add what electrolytes and a vitamin pack will. That said, I am not familiar with the product you mentioned. I ferment grains (lactose) and occasionally add ACV to the water but I would not be without the additives I use during times of stress as I previously mentioned in my posts.
I have used 3-4 different kinds all have been powders that you add to the water,,,and I don't use at the same time as the ACV simply because most of the prepacked all contain an acidifier
