Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Hello everyone and welcome to our newbies!

I've got someone here in IL looking for BLRW so if anyone is interested in selling let me know and I can connect you two.

New van is great but I am still figuring it out. My old one wasn't all electronic gadgetry but this one is mostly.

Chickens are doing well, so are the rabbits. The sure are eating a lot to keep warm. I think I might toss some fat out there for them. I never thought of that!

Bl4-construction has barely started.I've moved all of my flam cabs, sorted the chemicals into compatibility and will be relocating them to their new spot today. The profs are gonna have a fit! Their access will be restricted and of course they don't want that. They'd be accountable now as they have to sign out stuff. Oh and if you make anymore pies you gonna have to send me a slice from each, you've got me droing.
TO-I hope by now you have solved your water problem. Also thanks for posting the bash link!

Ill be back later on. With the construction it haven't had computer time at work and once at home there's lots to do!

just an FYI,,

you can leave(loose) a cell phone outside for 12 hrs at -35º and when warmed back to room temperature it will work fine

Sunny Winter Day All....Wow that was an awful nice gesture mom from a complete stranger. That's really cool to actually run into a nice person nowadays, eh!

Dang, even by 830 this morning I found 2 frozen eggs in the nests...imagine that.

I should prolly go check the mail later....I go days sometimes to skip the 150 plus yard walk to the mailbox...not like I'll find a check instead of bills. The backyard poultry mag is again worth the subscription though.

Hope this is the last of the polar vortex...kinda nasty ain't it!

Have Fun, this is as good as it gets....bigz

I have BLRW in the incubator now..how many do they want? I think I have 8 eggs in there..I will put more in in a few weeks after the splash has been with the girls for a while..I just put him in yesterday.

Went to an auction yesterday, my favorite cold Sunday afternoon past-time when the Packers aren't playing.
Jim there was a vehicle for you a 1994 Chevy S10 in immaculate condition, 4WD you would have probably wanted to buy a topper though... the real sell was the mileage 21,000... Hubby sure was tempted.

While I had hubby stationed to purchase a dresser and night stand, I was waiting for a couple of items to come up to bid on a table a young guy late 20's early 30's and I were talking. He was saying he really valued older people (omg I am an old person)We talked moderations and how things change... I told him my philosophy on a long life was simple " Have a sense of humor and you just have to get up every morning" He smiled and then when they were auctioning of the Little Jiffy Grain Mill (make your own flour) he bid and won it $150 and then turned and gave it to me...

He said that he had made a killing at the auction and just wanted to do something nice. Still totally amazed and my hubby helped him load of his truck he bought all kinds of wood working machinery lathes.saws, a concrete stirrer and construction type compressors etc., still in shock now I have another hobby but when I use your recipe to make bread I will now be grinding my own Flour, how neat is that...

Live long and prosper all, get up tomorrow and of course stay warm :)

AWESOME!! Payin' it forward!

I'm hunkered down for the day. The hubs checked on the chickaroos on the way to work and he'll do the same on the way home. Riley and I are just having fun. Think I'll make some zucchini bread and cookies this afternoon. Warm bread and a nice cuppa tea sounds real yummy right about now.

The poostalagmites in the coop under the roost are ridiculous! Frozen solid and can't be moved (probably until June!). I'll have to get their new digs in the barn finished before no one can breathe in there!

Stay warm and toasty!
