This cold is so brutal..I am always amazed when I go out to the coop and everyone is still running around. Even those young birds are doing good. growing well too.

I'd install a safety net but that would only bring the poo closer to them faster.

thanks Jim for sharing some of your life experiences. I ve always enjoyed learning about how life has molded a person.. I bet you ve got lots of good tales to tell.. I m looking forward to a hearing few more when you find the time.... I do not wish to banter about hunting or selective harvest of deer as I dont see how that has anything to do with someone poaching turkeys.......I was only saying shooting birds over a feeder seems more than a little unethical to me......... just an opinion I prolly should have kept to myself as this is prolly not the place to express my thoughts sorry zekejustlookingoutforthewildlife So I cant wait for the spring swap meets to start..... hope to see some of you again ,,,, Irish where is your store at? someone told me he was 30 I thought he was at least 45 or so.... B L 4 were you at the bash last year cause I was there on friday night...... I do hope to go again this year It was lots of fun!!!!!!

Hey zeek ;-) missed ya. The quail are wintering well. They are not yet laying. Durring a warm spat we got a couple eggs from the bob whites. I threw them in the bator for good measure. I am hatching eggs for someone anyway :-D we will have to get together at some point
We have 6 chicks out a day early. I seem to get that a lot! Hopefully the rest hatch tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
