almost forgot BBL4 i saw that link for the garage on craigs list it is a nice looking building but a little more building than i need. thats an awfull big job taking down a building like that but thanks for pointing it out i will keep my eyes open on there!

Good Morning All! Too many posts for my tiny mind. Sorry if I leave some out. BL4 that's a really nice hutch! Well built and easy to clean from what I see. Amyable what are you feeding that kid? Whatever it is keep it up what a cutie! That second pic made me grin right along with him. Thanks for sharing. Raiquee it made me cringe when I read the beef buying from a door to door. It's a very old trick they often say that their boss over ordered and were told not bring it back, just get rid of it. Glad you learned your lesson good luck on getting your money back think your stuck with stew meat. WCc good luck on the house deal sounds like you could make it a nice place. TO your post made me wish my toes were cold.

Good Morning! Cold for sure.. we have 2 new fuzzy butts this am and waiting to see if the other 3 eggs will hatch at all

ended up getting my finger taped at urgent care, just a bad sprain but sore none the less-especially if it gets bumped-never realize how much you use each finger until you hurt it!

H&R I feel for ya! Need fuzzy butt pics! It's always the case that the injured appendages will be bumped repeatedly which helps nullify the pains elsewhere.

who wanted to know about red/freedom rangers? I would never get them again. to pricey, die easy, and very fatty. the last one I butchered had over 1 lb of fat on it in the cavity alone, tasted great, but the fat......for the price I'm going back to cornishX

my 'puter is being a pain, comes and go's. don't know if its the WIFI, the 'puter or what?

Well, the chickies still are certain that snow is toxic. However, snug in their coop they gave me my first 3 egger day.

The cake for DH was a hit, there's very little left today.

Early Evening To All.... Welcome to the new folks. Hope you stay and visit often!
We had a busy week end with two of the grandchildren staying with us. They dominated the puter and had a blast here.
Good to read that everyone is also having fun...thanks for sharing all the nice pics. It's nice to see!
I cut more wood today. I think I should buy a new saw. I had more down time than progress today.
Never buy store bought eggs. Signs for fresh eggs are all over the place. It's good to stop by those places for a lesson or two. Besides who wants to support the egg industries abused hens?

Glad the Pack won. Nice to see Driver have a great play.

Buck Creek Chickens- I did, I mean ask about the Freedom Rangers. I don't know, I am just so sick of the Cornish X. As a matter of fact I just finished butchering my last batch. I don't know, I also butchered 2 Barred Rock roosters I received in a mix batch, maybe I will just raise though for meat birds. I want to get away from Cornish X thats all I know. Did you get them from JM or should I say the Freedom Ranger Hatchery that is related to J&M?

I must say BCC, you are the first negative report I have heard on them, so now I have to ask some more questions. What did you feed them? Did you put them in free ranging set up? What time of year did you have them? Sorry so many ?'s, I just want to be darn sure before I get 100 of them.


Hope all of you are doing ok. Looking forward to some time off from meat birds myself. Time to plan for next year, and get the garden planned. Be blessed all!!!!

Dandelion Acres, I just read your blog! Very nice, doing everything I hope to be doing this Spring! I also 'liked' your FB page....... you should post a link on here so the other FB people can find it.......

I have also read up on pasture raised beef, and how the farming industry is insane about the way to raise animals 'properly'......

Anyway, the ducks are loving their new digs! They are so nice and toasty in their little house too! I feel so much better about how they are doing during the day now.... not too much quacking either (I am thinking this too shall pass.....).

I have the Marine tank all set up and........ I can't get it up and running since I am out of DI water at school! No DI water no salt water! I HOPE they fix the DI unit TOMORROW since it has been out of commission since last week. I also picked up a pair of clownfish today... so we have 2 little Nemo's swimming around with the assorted crabs and the Damsel. I will DEFINITELY get pictures tomorrow!

Hello to all, Welcome to all the newbies

I haven't posted in awhile. I've been very busy and out of town. Wow we got some cold weather

now bring on the ice fishing. Seen people on Shawano lake today I may have to give it a try. I know you people that are in the NORTH COUNTRY ice fishin has been going on for weeks.
Everyone in my world here at home is doing great. The twin girls are done with their schooling and one has a job and the other is finishing up her internship. Hopefully I can start posting more regularly. Mike
