Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

MOrning all--my dogs are going nuts...they want to go OUT! I think am am tired of dogs...when they come in all the cats run and they are cuddling with us in the Micro Brew this morning. The "Charlie Brown Christmas" song is on. Always is a good memory for me...we used to get to eat our dinner in the living room on TV trays to watch it. (there was NEVER food in the living room)
Well--I have to run...working ALL day today--hope the critters stay were they belong! Have a fantastic day! Terri O

Made up some deviled eggs last night, delish!

Little Tyler has figured out that he's not being abandoned when put on the floor with toys. He's on the verge of going mobile and is getting into reaching and playing with toys. Can almost sit up, but after a while kind of slumps over. Poor Tye Tye. Thomas is taking turns running his John Deere ATV around the first floor and watching Dinosaur Train. I'm pacing by the eggs like a mother hen, cluck cluck cluck. LOL

Stay warm, everyone!

Troll, if you do that pictures are a must!

Cold. But good. I picked up some freeze-dried Mealworms for my birds today. I just can't do those live.

They give me the creeps for sure. But they were at Fleet Farm for about $7 a tub. Thought I'd try them out on them.

They are not so sure about them until they try them. But regular fishing worms and crickets still go over better.

WOW WE! done in Christopher Walkins voice with inflections from SNL. We now are wireless and without a landline. HOLY CRAP! from Peter Boyle on Everybody Loves Raymond. This is unreal everything is sooo fast now! And L and I are working on our own puters AT THE SAME TIME! What next self peeling eggs? Sliced bread? My mind is boggled! But I know it doesn't take much.

Christmas Shopping? Oh man I should really think about starting that soon now shouldn't I.....

Chick a loo's are holding up fine, it's crazy our barred rock rooster "Big Guy" (pretty original right?) is such a wimp. I came home yesterday and pushed a few of the chickens into the yard where there was scratch awaiting them and they just were not going to have any of that. The Maran hens went out, looked at me as if to say "I don't think so" and came right back in. Big Guy stood there on 1 foot and looked as though he was going to cry. Oh well, I think the first day we get above freezing will be another story..LOL

Has anyone here raised Delawares? Really thinking about them as a DP bird next year....sooo many darn choices.

Has anyone here raise or are you raising sheep? The boys got to talking about it for 4H next year so I was just curious.
Oh and BTW those roosters are still looking for a home if anyone wants one or two or three...

Be good to each other. Stay warm!!!!

Early Evening All... Congrats on the new wireless stuff Doc. Sounds like you are a happy camper! How did the frys turn out? Hope you left the skin on those babys.
I made a double batch of air popped corn for the flock today. I love to watch them smack the curnels on the floor to break them up.
I suppose Brett will write a book now and make a few more million bucks!
Was going in to trim moms tree today. The ranger battery was dead....so out with the charger and then to fleet for a new battery...still got the tree trimmed for her. Me and Suzie will prolly get ours this weekend. We tend to fry them here with the wood heat. Last year I carried out nothing but a stick tree....

Haven't heard the snowmobiles yet? Can't believe the trails aren't open yet. I know the places along the trails can use the added buisness.

Delawares are good but you really need to look for un-crossed blood lines.
as for sheep they are in the plan for spring, my dad raised them as a kid and would like to see them on the farm again, he wants a breed that's clean faced, med in size and not a lot of wool on the belly, plus on my list are ewe's that lamb easy. I just started to check out breeds.
