Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Wow-
Did we ever get the snow. I was up in the U.P. since tuesday and had to drive home yesterday. Came home to 20", lucky that my neighbors cleared some of the snow so just have to do it again tonight. I will have to borrow some one's snow blower to get a path to the chicken coop (about 400 feet). Usually we just plow a path with the 4 wheeler, but it is too deep now with the drifts. Most schools canceled here this morning it was -7 and windy.
Sorry to here about the loss of power/heat that is the worst.

Photo of my eggs set for the big New Years Hatch!

2 Black Copper Marans Eggs
5 White Silkie Eggs
12 Ameraucana Eggs (B/B/S)
8 Blue/Cuckoo Marans Eggs (Upper left 2 were the last 2 laid, all are pullet eggs)

And an image I saw that needs to be placed over my hovabator since DH likes to try to bump it:

The word panic doen't even come close! the troll wow you really got nailed with snow! 400' thasa long ways! Be careful! After the last post thought of KAQ it's been waaay too long! Where are you?

I LOVE those "chocolate eggs!" How cool--best of luck with your hatch!

OK I really need help...from those of you who have plucked ducks; I have gotten all the big feathers off and now my poor duck looks like a porcupine! I have been using a knife and my thumb to pull the little feathers...is there an easier way? I know you can wax them but I dont think it would really be worth the effort for just one duck. Any suggestions welcome...

I just heard on the news that OLD Brett wont be playing tonight's game...Think he is really going to retire? They said details are coming up. Big baby...I will be so happy to see the end of him! (no not THAT end DrH!!!

) Just thought I'd say it before you got the chance!

297 games and the streak is done. Still waiting for the rest of the story...

OK gotta make some supper. Hmmm...what to have? Terri O

Chilly Evening Everyone. Welcome eh3 to the cheeseheads in case you weren't before.
Yep Hurly that sign has to be the best ever!
Nope Doc, it's still dead by the shed. I had to use the snow blower to clean things up. Almost a six pack job...

Gonna need to get her going to move the splitter around. I took the chains off this spring when I had the flat fixed. That's gonna be fun putting those back on. Hope I can get by without them. Maybe let some air out of the tires first if I need them on.
Two games on tonight, however I only have the local stuff on my tube. Talk about old school.

Can't help jumpin back on. Again! Fries are on the first fry after soakin. Bigz while I was plowin was thinkin boy this would really suck using the blower even with the cab on it. Wish we were closer!!!! And would suck more without beer awaitin. I actually held off tiil I was done, but didn't know what I was up against. "Remember your just one cocktail away from another bad decision." My cousins husband sent me that a few back. I should heed that more often!

Had many geckos and snakes hatch from a hovabator. Great bator if you get a thermostat. Never had any problems!

So, driving this morning was good until I got to Sheboygen. Ice sheets covered the road. Annnd since I drive the Yota Crapolla (that's a Toyota Carolla for those not in the know
lol.png
) it was fun to say the least. Drive back I thought was going to be better, no not so much. I swear Sheboygen doesn't plow their streets. I almost got stuck numerous times! On the way home, sheets of beautiful blue sparkily ice that taunted to kill me covered the freeway.

Hubby put the munchkin in daycare, as we had a crabby weekend together and I was beat. That's good, I could use a little time with my hubby. During the week I usually don't get to spend time with the hubby cause i'm in bed by 830 and DS doesn't go to bed until 930! So, by the time DH gets to bed, I'm zonked. And then I wake up before DH and DS.

I never get to see anyone!! I got home though and hubby said he was leaving. Going to go xmas shopping and said I couldn't come, must be my xmas shopping then. I thought our presents to each other this year was paying the mortgage.

I did ask for some pickle crocks and a food dehydrator though- used off craigslist of course!

Last week of clinicals and then winter break! I am sad, but also estatic to spend more time with DH and DS and not have to drive 160 miles for a day! lol.

Hope everyone else is doing good.

Good Morning Good People! A little chilly out there this AM -12 so far. I feel for all that have to go out in it. Got up for a call to nature at 3:30 and threw some more wood in the stove, nice and toasty in here. The wood is a little drier this year and it seems to do the trick years past if it was below 0 I'd have to fire up the furnace to help. Raiquee sounds like you could use some time off with the DH. Bigz I seemed to have mastered the chaining, can do it in 10 minutes. But their heavy B's! I take them off in the summer so I don't tear up the rubber. TO Don't wish Brett any ill will just don't like the way he handled things, glad he's going out as a flop. Stay warm!
