Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Afternoon All...Welcome to the new folks, and hope you can make the bash!

Great news about the special parts store Cind.....I hope your head turned out goodie. If you are smoking it, then no head cheese I'm guessing, eh?

This time around we are planting Norway Spruce CC...they are 3 year transplants and large enough, that you aren't gonna just spade them in. I have 2 doz left to plant yet.....Can't believe zeeeeek had time to visit cuties! Get to work zeeeek!

Kudos with the ordinance CS....time to build a bigger coop.

My letter sport was tennis fux....glad you enjoy the game!

Hope the blazer won't cost that much to fix Jim. It will be tough getting money from the previous owner I'm thinkin. One of my friends at church has a old bator his dad use to use...he is gonna give it to me....he said it's been in the attic for over 40 years...I can't wait to see what it actually is.

Congrats with all the good hatches...I swear I'm gonna separate birds soon for hatching.

Seems like everyone is busy...must be that time of year.

Have fun...bigz

But it IS raining so you are inside drinking the gallon of maple syrup! Or maybe thinking up new and (more-I am sure) delicious ways to make pancakes? LOL--you go Jimbo!

I have a couple of extra mins...it is not nice here either. DH started the wood stove while I was at the store...now he is gone. I guess I should do something? LOL-NOT!

One of the foster dogs (Sonja) was adopted yesterday. Nice family hey Cuties? Of cours the Cutie fam loved the Pittie I also have up for adoption! He is a sweetheart for sure.

OK--going to run the vac at least while the "allergic one" is out.

Glad to see others have taken up the role of "official greeter"!
Where are those kids to come and work...I NEED YOU ALL!
THanks! TerriO

Hi few, where is everybody ? I think it is raining all over the state, so you can't be outside..

I just got off the phone with mto Glen.. about 2 hours worth.. He said, we will have to do this again, I said, yeah, but not right away tomorrow ..

I am about all talked out ..

got 6 (six) buinea eggs today.. keep it up girls !!!

I have to be careful to not set eggs to hatch at the end of May..or the 1st of June,, my latest batch is due on the 24th of May ..

If I made GF pancakes, would anybody eat them ?
I never tried GF anything..

can you GF'ers eat baking soda or baking powder ? how about corn meal or corn flour ?
buckwheat flour ?

Just came across this post and as a Gluten free gal I know anyone would appreciate if you made gluten free pancakes. (I only just got to this thread but I thought I read something about a meet up and I'm assuming this is what that is for.) Also all of the ingredients you asked about are more than safe to eat as well. :)

Like I said just came across this but your kindness in trying to keep everyone feel welcome put a nice smile on my face.

Good morning. I joined BYC recently and wanted to introduce myself to the other cheeseheads on the board. :) I'm in the Lake Nebagamon area.

I've had chickens for almost a year. This year we brought home some turkeys and more guineas.

Hi there! Just recently found this post and you're on of the closest to me! :) I'm from just outside of Superior.

Nice day coming to an end up here in the northwoods (by Hayward dpears and probably Ur closest cheesehead on here). Ducks are pooped from swimming in the "lake" all afternoon, dogs from being outside all afternoon in their pen the first time since the deep freeze and we got another pen done and our Red Golden juvie males in it.

My unwell ducky was in the pond earlier too and is now joining its sleepy duck family outside again. Gave orders to SO that if he looks bad again tomorrow when the rain starts to bring him right back inside. Not gonna chance it...

Candled our almost locking down duckling eggs and it looks like I can already see 3 little beaks trying to wiggle in the lit up air sac! So excited to see them hatch. Who's gonna be first, the pheasies or the ducklings?!? Bets anyone?

After a productive day just now watching the rain clouds moving in. Not looking forward to a rainy week with a high chance of deeper lakes forming in the backyard. Yeay oh yeay.

Hi! Thank you for the shout out. :) I camp up by hayward and spend most my summer there. :) Can I ask you where you buy your feed from?
