Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

You are making me thankful my dad walked away and hardly contacted us. I would have loved to have a stepdad though...... my paternal grandparents acted like we did not exist once they moved to CA, and with my dad's PTSD from Vietnam we were better off with him leaving us alone. I remind my kids often how lucky they are to have their dad here and relatives that dote on them. Even having a step parent is better than not having anyone.

Anyway, three cakes and a coconut cream pie are finished. The pie is for our former neighbor, the one who had the pacemaker put in and had such difficulties after the surgery.

I am now putting up my feet before we head over to my sisters house for dinner. My legs are killing me! I was up at six to start making breakfast and I have hardly rested since!

I hope I didn't give the wrong impression-I wouldn't trade my family for anything. It just has additional challenges to work through!

No, you did not. I just know what I had to grow up with and I am very grateful my kids have a lot of family. I understand the difficulties of juggling separate family schedules, and the frustration. :) It is irritating when one or both parents use the child as a pawn to get back at the other parent; IMHO the parents who play the get you back game should be called out in court and penalized. All they are doing is screwing up the kid.

Evening to all....Congrats on the hatches and all the good life moments ...I think life is for the living....so let's live to the fullest and enjoy every precious moment. We are truly blessed living here in this free country that we take for granted daily...

Prolly a FFF is gonna happen at Camp next year....plan for a before dusk fry....although it could run later....seems like the clock disappears at camp....somehow?

This is easier said than done!

Completely agree-don't drag kids into adult issues. Thankfully my ex has never been involved , and Mike and his ex communicate well when it comes to the kids so everyone stays on the same page. And yes-your children are very fortunate to have both parents together and in love!

Bigzio I so appreciate all your upbeat posts! I feel blessed!

DH bought 2 controls for our drip irrigation system. He hooked them up to a few of the irrigation hoses. Soon I won't be watering!!!!

The front garden is coming along. I transferred some silver dead nettle for ground cover and I hope it spreads quickly. The irises, day lilies, russian sage, and salvia will all spread but more slowly.

The momma hen has left the babies to their own and is trying to lay eggs again. The chicks do not want to come out of the coop.

I must have something stuck in my right eye. It has been hurting for 2 weeks and I thought it was allergies, but it really seems like something is on the inside of my upper eye lid.

Otherwise, not much here!

Hi All!

Wow, people must have spent most of the day outside today and too pooped to post when they got in.

I just realized Peppers eggs should be hatching soon if they're to hatch at all. Between her and Jasmine playing musical nests and moving eggs.... who knows

At least Jasmine has been tight on hers that I got from Cuties. I'll have to move her to her own place though.

That's it for me.... night all!

just reset the bator. I finally sold the last ofnthe last batch. It is my self rule to not reset until the others are sold.
Things are busy with t-ball and 4-h in high gear. But I love it this way :) by do wish Scott could be working a normal or maybe even just 55-60 hours a week. But I suppose we should be grateful he is busy.
I hope all is well for all!
has anyone heard from del? I think I will give a jingle. Just to see.
