Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Today I finally felt better. I had a few moments of dizziness and tiredness, but I didn't take a nap!!!! I did have more blood work done today, so I've got to wait for those results.

DD13 is home, well kind of, she is at a friends house for the night. Those of you with teenagers, please share stories with me of how your kids switched from loving kids to someone that doesn't like you. I really need to feel better.

Otherwise, I went to see a kid play of Wizard of Oz and then got cheese ice cream. Yum!!!

Oh yea! Air conditioning is working again...Theo tore the wiring from the unit!

Hi All :frow Been super busy around here. I've stopped by a few times, but wanted to catch up on the goings on before posting. Good to see new peeps :welcome and welcome to the Cheeseheads. Kristip: hope things are going well with the new job. Did you resolve your respiratory issue? Jim: always enjoy pics of your projects. Oh and the pic your last post left in my mind of the fff medical convoy was a great end to reading 200+ posts. It still gives me a chuckle  Bigzio: I will keep your daughter and her husband in my thoughts, may the keep safe while doing such important work. Cindlady: If we wanted to gather for a day in the more southern part of the state, those of us in the Madison area are about due for another gathering in Paoli. Cscratch: I hope your tests go well. Now the reason for my post . . . other than to stay in touch. Calling on all you chicken gurus. Out of the four RIR chicks Kristip hatched for us this spring she thought one may be a roo, but it was only a day or two old at the time. We are now thinking she was spot on, but I would like your opinions. Thanks in advance, now I'm off to meet friends in Highland for a fff buffet . . . YUM!!
Sandy...one of these days life will be normal and I can stop over to visit. Still not sure on the respitory thing with my roo...acting normal but every once in a while he snuffles. And still two girls with featherless necks. Think I am going to dose those three at least to see what we can do to improve. Work is ok...not perfect, but ok. We will see long term how it goes. As for the RIR...I am not sure...my guess was based on day old feather sexing, but I am not an expert. How are the lorp babies? Any Roos there? Hope all is good

Oh my goodness! I hought I was worried about teenage years before coming here this evening!
jim, let ol'.tom walk on the sidewalk :)
Bbp, congrats to your daughter.
Rberry, it looks like pretty red wattles. But we also swore. Couple of our reds were males. And they layed eggs...

Hans n roos, good luck on making those choices.
Cs, glad today was better. Fingers crossed on good results.

Bunch of little fluffy butt lb hatched today :) took the kiddos to the movie. Of coarse it was a hit.

chickenscratch: Sorry to hear your not feeling well. I hope you have a quick recovery. I must have missed your post about this; Drs dont know whats wrong?

Cuties: Thanks! Crossing my fingers it will help build up some immunity!

Hens n Roos...do you have any of the bantam leghorns anymore or a lead on who else in the area has any? My neighbor is in love with our little girl and are getting some chickens...thought I would ask around for them... Thanks

Back from vacation. I will never leave again!
ALL my chicks I brought home from the swap are dead and my layers that were hatching in the bator were never pulled and ALOT of those were dead and rotting. The bator smells like pure death rotten and my chicken room also. NEVER NEVER NEVER leave again. My SIL was taking care of things. And my BLRW roo from CS is also dead. Gah, that's all I have to say for now. Trying to catch up on the posts.
