Well Melanie I'm hoping that for now my girls will help make up for what he lacks. I've been searching hi and low for a new roo but no luck so far but him. The girls aren't good around him and the owner has made it clear to me that is why she is going out of breeding them as she has many other breeds besides. You picked out every fault that I had figured, but against my Zeus he's a bit better.Clark, if you are in a bind for one, go for it. But he is very small in the back end. Looks like a decent sized spur. So he must have adult feathers. That are more orange... not much lacing. His legs dont look bright yellow. And the hens around him do not seem to have good quality...Maybe get him for now, but keep up the search.
I wish I could help you outi think it is hard to find a good roo. I only kept one from all the chicks we had. The others had one thing or another I didn't like. I am learning it takes a LOT of growing out to get a few very good.![]()
So maybe he willnthrow a couple of good chicks![]()
Good luck!
