Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

MomG...we are actually making a mini end if summer vacation out if it. Visiting family in Port Washingtin Friday and hitting Sheboygan. I have really fond memories of spending a weekend at Koehler Andrea state park and running around the sand dunes...know they limit that now, but still thought a beach at Lake Michigan would be fun for the kids. Then up to manitowoc on Saturday for the maritime museum and another state park and then probably a little time at the amusement park before the game. I have never been to a packer game and the kids are excited. Should be fun.

IT is seriously looking like I may have 10 Cockerals out of 13 chicks as they are 4.5 weeks old now. If anyone is looking for a calm gentle great breed roo let me know!!

Kristi, I would make plans to hit Bay Beach, it is such a treat for the whole family!

Mel, that's ok; no big deal!

My cousin, aunt and uncle have just completed the camping trip out to Yellowstone......and now all I want is a camper! Anybody ever have an airstream, or know of anyone who had/has one? What did they think of it? I would like to get one of the older models..... I do not care if it looks like a blast from the past inside, all I want is something the family can sleep in comfortably.

Loved Yellowstone... make time to stop in Custer Park and the Badlands along the way an amazing journey... Only have had pop-ups but I envy your idea of a retro silver bullet Airstream, long as you have the truck to pull it, I think it would be awesome. Just know you need to make reservations the parks very early they are very crowded. We did the trip using KOA's towing in the mountains is tricky! Excited for your new adventure!

MG, we did the trip last year.

We showed up at the bash in our rented motorhome. We stopped everywhere we could, but of course spent too little time in Yellowstone; you need a week AND a separate vehicle in order to really look at everything.

I want to get a little research in before I commit to anything. I do not know anyone who has had an Airstream. There is on on eBay right now that is absolutely pristine and a time capsule. I showed it to the DH and he said he would be afraid to take it anyplace for fear of it being wrecked!

Of course, first things first; like a job for me.

good morning,

Mel, just remember that airstream was one of the first travel trailers.
You need a substantial vehicle to pull one..
Once you figure in the price of the unit and the gas to pull it, staying at a motel might be less $$$ in the long run..
and the vehicle you pull it with has to be large enough for everybody, because you cannot ride in a trailer,, (I don't believe).. I might be wrong ..

today, I have to get that hole in the fence fixed, and then transfer the white chicks into the main coop.

I have to replace the coop windows too, or the chicks will be all over the place ..

we have been getting just enough rain so that I have not had to use the hose to water the garden at all..

the rain caught me by surprise yesterday.. I was on my way home from the bakery outlet with a pile of bread treats for the chickens in the pickup truck.. good thing the bread was in plastic bags..
