I can do that for you. The butcher said usually the livers don't pass inspection, but ours looked really good. But those weren't coming home with me either.

..Hi everyone! I thought I would make my first post here of my first egg. I have been creeping on this thread for awhile and thought it might be time to say something. Plus I was excited to share my egg! I live near Spooner with my husband, two sons and our 7 feathered friends. We found our first egg yesterday and I couldn't have been more excited. I haven't had chickens since I was a kid.
...and to cheeseheads..
I too started out with just 7 pullets,, "just for eggs for us"
watch out !! or you could end up like me.. 8 years later, 3 coops, enough incubator capacity to hatch 1500 eggs at a time.. a surplus of just shy of 100 guineas running around the property..
need I go on ?

besides the 3 coops, I have a 12 x 25 foot fly pen, a 8 x 16 fly pen, two 4 x 10 brooding pens and countless smaller drag around pens and crates .. plus a 12 x 25 green house that doubles as a pen if needed.. Off garden growing season..
I have 3 large fenced in chicken yards for the birds I do not want free ranging ..
