good morning,

woke up, looked at the clock.. 5:23 AM.. thought I would see if I could go back to sleep..
gave that up,, looked at the clock,, 4o AM,, WTH ?? yup, read it wrong the first time,,

got up made coffee,, finished with my first cuppa,,

last night I glued up one side of the plucker,, had to recondition a couple more long clamps..
decided to wait until this morning to do the second side.. I used up too many long clamps on the first side.. I have a lot of clamps, but never seem to have enough,,

well morning...it snowed so I hope I can still dig in the ground for the last few coops...got a bunch of eggs this morning heres some pics....17 eggs today

afternoon all,

I have an announcement to make..
I got a phone call from Zeke's (Rick) daughter just a few minutes ago..
she asked me to forward this on to the cheese heads..

Zeke met with an accident last weekend.. It was fatal..

He was helping a friend smoke some meat..

apparently the pilot light went out on the gas burner,, they didn't realize that a lot of gas leaked out and Zeke tried lighting it.. the whole building blew up..

many of us knew Zeke as a dear friend,, those of you who didn't meet him missed out on as he would describe it : "a good deal " ..

I heard about his loss on FB. I did not put two and two together until I logged on today. What a loss for his family.

here I am at 3 weeks old,, I weigh a little more than 6 pounds already,,
my eyes opened at 17 days old..

THEY LOOK LIKE POLAR BEARS....HAHAHA...DOGS LOOK GREAT JIM...got four of the inside walls up and one with wire on it....and its snowing like crazy here

I got the plucker frame all assembled and glued ..

it is sitting on top of my glue table, (table saw covered with a cloth)

some of my clamp collection,, the only organized spot in the shop.

next I will make the motor mounting board,, and then the sprocket mounting boards..

might make some corner braces , too,, they are not necessary, but I just want to try some peg mounting exercises..

Not much new here. SO's car broke down when he tried to come home after work. He first thought an easy fix, but of course one leads to another, and the car is still sitting at his work now. He didn't get back til a bit after midnight and is at work now (hopefully) fixing it. Was worried sick as I couldn't get a hold of him for almost 3 hours for an arranged phone call. Of course he don't put any money on his cell as we are rock bottom right now with finances. Guess I won't be sending off the presents to Germany this year...
Just really ticks me off that we got so much bad luck with the cars... grrrr.

The ducks and other birds are fine, quacking away and making a mess as usual. The dogs are lazy and napping again on an old kids mattress we put in the living room as the hard plywood floors are bare and cold. Some creature comfort, right?!

Not much else new besides the brat supposed to come home for Christmas on Monday or Tuesday. Am planning on a quick escape to either Rice Lake or Bruce (hint hint) if need be... Not sure how long I'll be able to handle him being here with everything else going on. My nerves are pretty bare right now and I still need them a bit...
