Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

..
this is the hitch end.. that 4 x 4 is not part of the trailer..

..
the bed looking from the rear.. it is about 40 inches wide and about 7 or 8 feet long.
it is very low and it tilts also..

..
the tires are 8 or 10 ply.. not much tread on them, but the guy is going to use it mostly for
hauling firewood and logs out of the woods.. it should handle 12 foot logs ..

originally the trailer had a big cement mixer mounted on it..
then my friend converted it to haul his blacktop roller ..
he gave it to me,, then I gave it back to him,, then he gave it back to me and told me that he didn't want it back, so I kept it for many years.. I used it to store a huge stack of cedar planks on..

Quote: that's good to know.. I only priced them online and they were more like $8.oo..

I just got an email for the heavy duty work bench I have on C L.. I have to clean all the stuff off of it to take some pictures.. I am asking $25.oo for it..
It took 4 good men to put it on the trailer when I picked it up a couple of years ago.
It is too big to fit through my shop doors, so it is about useless to me.. just another flat spot to pile junk onto..

Off the work topic how many chickens have you got and what breeds? I'm always curious what the people close to me have

Ok, so, the RIR hen just died in DS arms. He was holding her sorta upside down trying to find her vent.......don't judge-he knows less about chickens than I do.Haha. So he was asking me if our chickens could have some sort of virus, or bacterial infection going on. I saw her yesterday and she was out in the run, scratching and picking around, so to come out the morning and found her dying was a shock......can someone answer on the virus or bacterial and give advice on what to look for in the coop or in the chickens behavior? Thanks. Forgot to mention, the only things that is different is this week, I started giving them some Kaytee mealworms. My son just came in with another question, so he was burying the RIR......as he was throwing dirt on the chicken, the chicken made a squeek sound when the dirt hit the chest...................when they die do chickens have air in the lungs that would be pushed out when weight is applied..............Freeked him out..............and he is pretty unfreakable. We just need to know if we planted a half live chicken.

relax,, she was dead.. sometimes when we are butchering chickens and they are all plucked and ready for gutting, if you drop one on the table they make a sound like that.. it is just air in the lungs being forced out..

I can't help with the virus question,, I have just adapted to the notion that chickens die for little or no reason..
If just one dies, that is just the way it goes..

Afternoon to everyone....chickenscratch, your ear musta been ringing with my wondering how you guys are doing! Glad to hear all is well.

Bringing birds from other property onto yours is always taking a risk, firstchic....folks can tell a lot of stories of that to be true on here alone. The least problem flocks are closed flocks....raising and hatching your own peeps....or start with a flock of chicks from a hatchery and allow them to build resistance on your property.

This was a feral pig cd....while I can post a link with a lot of good information from the DNR....that are usually about 5 years behind the real time outdoors happenings....for example...their map of known feral pigs is from 2012....really? They never accept the truth until they can't deny it any longer....

you said it Brent..

my bro and his 3 boys were up in Canada fishing,, they caught a few nice northerns and were loading the boat onto the trailer when 2 Canadian wardens showed up.. they checked all the licenses etc,, then asked them what they caught,, Bro showed them the Northerns,, the wardens asked them where they caught them and my bro pointed to approximately the spot in the lake .. the wardens denied that they were caught in that lake because "there are no northerns" in that lake.. Bro could not make them admit that they were wrong.. and they went away thinking that the northern s were caught from a different lake..
