Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

good morning,
I have to go pick up a bag of layer feed.. the magnificent 6 are producing very well..

Zeke finally decided to enter the " jaws of death",, he was in the dog house this morning,,
He must have figured that if it was safe for Frankie, he would be OK , too.

I am going to buy a set of diamond files for sharpening my forstner bits.

today I am going to buy the tubing and fittings for the cold water lines.
BIL Dave said he would come help me on the weekend..
There are a few things I can do beforehand to get ready,, Like sharpening my 1" forstner bit and drilling holes through a few floor joists.

this basement computer room is at 64F . the heater is on the same circuit as the sun porch, and we haven't turned that on yet.. Usually we turn that on in October, but this year has been so warm we didn't need to..

coffee is gone, so I better go do some of the things I mentioned..

Have a GREAT day everyone.

good evening,
I got everything done today that I set out to do..
I adjusted the hanging feeder to maximum ..the granuals just weren't getting to the tray,, I will have to monitor it for a few days to see if the chickens aren't wasting more than they eat..

I got almost all of the tubing connectors that I needed except for a couple of tee's.. I will make a stop at Menard's for those..

I picked up a set of diamond files and touched up a half dozen drill bits.. they look sharp,, I will test them tomorrow..

Annie cleaned up quite a bit in my shop.. now I can easily walk just anywhere in there with ease.. I still have a few bushels of planer wood shavings to pick up and get into the chicken coop.

we are getting 3 to 5 eggs per day from our 6 hens.. I think they are all laying, but just not every day ..

Zeke is loving staying in the dog house; now that he decided it is safe ...
He has not figured out how to go back around the other way to unwrap the chain from around the outside of the dog house ..
that will come in time,, I hope..

you said it Cind, where is everybody ?

I am not going to feed Zeke until it stops raining,, the chickens would probably eat it before he got out of the coop anyway,,

I will be heading to Menard's in a short while to pick up 5 barbed tee's for the water lines.. F&F did not have what I needed..

outside work is not an option today,, maybe will do some cleaning inside the garage so I can get Ollie in there.. it is such a pita to sweep snow off of him whenever I have to plow snow..

anybody need a couple of 4 drawer file cabinets ? free .. just come pick them up..

cuppa is gone,, time to head out ..

Pouring rain here right now. The chickens all ran back into the coops...can't blame them for that. Been busy as usual around here. One of the guys donated his ingersal lawn tractor to the camp. It has a blower, tiller, and 42" cutting deck. It took a while to get it loaded on a horse trailer and delivered to camp. It will be nice to have another piece of equipment to cut work time in half.
Gonna be a cold one Sat in the ladder stand...unless I can harvest a nice one early...

The roos were hatched the end of May. They are first now starting to crow.

I  am near Mukwonago off I-43.

I also have a black/lav split roo who is 6 weeks younger.

@Celtic Chick
So sorry I haven't gotten back to you been quite a few days of everything that could go wrong going wrong but I'm hopeful things are looking up. Just wanted to let you know that I'm/we're still interested just waiting on a definitive answer from DH2B. I was wondering if you could or would mind posting some pictures of the roosters so I could see them and show them to him. Also is the lavender split also 100% English? Thank you so much hope I haven't missed out on your wonderful offer.

I like your print size, Jim! I don't have to squint to read it! Thanks!

I like getting emails with the larger letters, also..
I do not always remember to go big, but i try..

I am all set with $185.oo worth of tubing and fittings to change out the copper water lines to PEX.
it could go higher, but I am not changing out the shut off valves under the sinks etc. right now..
those can be done as a need to basis .

my 7 chickens do not seem to mind the weather,, they were way out in the hay field in the rain,,.
