Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

9/4 sunday to you all..
That is how I like to see the game played..

we sold our rabbit today.. the people who bought it are looking for some meaty type rabbits for breeding,, need not be show quality.. New Zealand was one of their choices..
How about it ? anybody here have some they want to get rid of ?

I still have to go out and lock up the chicken coop.. Not so much for protection, but more so that the chickens lay their eggs inside the coop..

I am thinking of getting about 25 mixed chicks from Beaver Dam to raise this winter.. then in the spring we will have some replacement layers and maybe some POL pullets to sell..

Hi All!

DD came over and did some chores I wasn't up to doing. Glad I caught her at the right time to help.

I miss going out to my girls

Can't go down there when I'm not breathing well.

Night All.

Nice Packer win for sure! Still raining hard here...think that makes 2 all day rains...seems like a week, but really happy it wasn't snow. I'd rather have puddles that will soak in than 3 feet of snow sliding off the steel roof in front of the overhead door.

That's funny Dae...I don't think you need to worry about cutting stupid grass before next spring.

Got the call, that my wood fired boiler should be delivered Wed....I can't wait to have this ordeal over with...and a nice fire rockin in the basement!

brent, don't you have to prefire the boiler outside before taking it inside ? I know with some wood stoves it is a good idea,,
it burns off any oil residue and whatever else
might stink like h ell when you light the first fire in it..

Hey all thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers please keep them coming tomorrow is the day and we are all dreading it so much. On top of that no one has told Grandpa get, which is understandable as he wouldn't remember it the next day but its also going to be awful if he is having a good enough day to understand, because this is the last thing he ever wanted he would rather be dead he said when he first found out.

That's a tough spot, cd. I wish you & your family the best for a smooth transition. I hope he comes to like his new digs.

That is weird about the PRs not laying yet. Unless they are a different cross. I had PRs from TSC a few years ago & they all started laying at 16 weeks old. They didn't even slow down in winter. But they were all dead at 2 to 3 years old.

Glad to hear the new boiler is on is way Bigz.

Whomever has the latch opening at night, I vote coon also. As for the pile of feathers, I'm leaning toward dog, yote, fox. Something that is big enough to throttle the bird & carry it off. Sorry for your losses.

Cind, I hope you are feeling better soon. DH came down with something today. Said he felt it coming on yesterday but still worked out in the garage all day without a jacket.

Delisha, congrats on the new house. I hope you can get the hill figured out. And thank you for asking about the cat. Unfortunately the outcome was not as well as Mel's was. (No I am not referring to the soiled car). She was 18 and had a nasty tumor on her liver.

Loved the Pack win! And am really happy to be dealing with 2" of rain instead of a foot or so of snow.

Don't think they will fire it before they bring it in....if it stinks, and it prolly will, I'm ready for it no matter what.

It is tough taking away someone's freedom, and I understand that the time has come...year's ago when grandma had to go to a home, they still allowed jersey chairs...she cryed when placed in them, and it didn't take long for the issues of lost freedom to kill her...God I miss my grandma after all these years...sayin she was special was the truth....tough and loving in her special way.....hoping for good results in your case.....I can understand the feelings..all of them!

Thanks be to God.

No worries on the budding trees, they will be just fine.

CC, I am so sorry. Our old bat is now on antibiotics for a bladder infection. Holding it all day must have done something to her.

Looking forward to Christmas baking this coming weekend.
