DH had a good interview yesterday

sounds like something he would like to do. Pay is a bit less but if you like your job it's not so hard to take.
He really didn't want to start ASAP but that's what they want so if it's his he starts next week. BUT my kitchen isn't done yet

GC- I hope you feel better soon. I was told that going to a chiropractor can help loads.
They won't crank on anything but can use an activator pen and electro stim with heat to help. It helps the body and the muscles realign and help with the healing process.
I have done it within a week of injuring my back coming off a horse, a few months before breaking my shoulder (same horse-not mine). I was back at the chiro within a week.
Did the electro stim, and activator and wow what a difference. My phys. therapist does cold electro stim OR hot, so its a mainstream type of therapy.

I finally convinced Mom to go to bed,, now the rest of the night is mine..

the goose finally gave up.. no pip,,,,no gosling... there is one egg left dated for the 16th..

The 4 roosters I put in with the red stars have already figured out why I put them in there.. I will have to watch them pretty close,, might have to take a couple back out if they are too rough on the hens...

I made supper tonight.. bought a take 'n bake pizza from Sam's Club today.. 3 meat 16" .. It was OK but a bit on the salty side. but that only gave me a good excuse to have to drink a brew.

Annie accidently let the 5 new turkeys loose today.. but she got all 6 back into the pen.. LOL luckily I have my old ones banded..

If you want to use a "naughty" word you have to mis-spell it..

Happy (My) Friday, all.

Would have added comments earlier this week, but my fingers were too frozen to type.

Am READY for some 40's weather already. The chooks say they are as well. Too cold to get down off the roost and find the nest box, just drop 'em and let 'em freeze and crack. Poor babies.

My 5 week old chicks are mostly feathered in and are getting quite spoiled, sitting on my hand to eat, etc. Spoiled rotten basement babies. The newer round (silkies and bantam lavender Ameraucanas) are coming along, too. Beautiful colors.

Collecting my darkest Marans eggs currently (if I can catch them before they freeze) to set on Valentine's day. The rest are in the fridge (or fed to the dogs if cracked and frozen.) Contemplating setting some grocerty store eggs at the same time, for grins.

The boys are squealing, gotta run!

good morning all, coffee is brewing and it is 15 below here..
supposed to get up to 20 above and light snow..
how come light snow is so heavy when you are shoveling it?

a school teacher is coming for an incubator this afternoon.. then next week she is coming for 20 eggs.. the new chickens are just starting to lay.. we are getting up to 5 out of 15 .. those are the eggs I want to give to her..

smells like the coffee is done.. C U later.......

Good Morning everyone!! Brrr once again this morn

They say the weather is about to change. Going out to bago to cut in sturgeon hole today!! We're going out on fire lane 8. Man was it cold out there yesterday!!

Maybe we can get rid of some of this snow in the next while. I've got a bunch of chicks hatched that I can't use if anyone wants them, all wyandottes mixed colors. Have a great day. Mike

Ya beat me Jim. Was looking over L's taxes b4 she goes to work. -14 here. The thermo dropped to -20 yesterday and up to +23 in the afternoon. That's quite a swing. Really looking forward to those temps predicted. I'm chomping at the bit too Bigz! Was thinking how out of shape I am. ODrH my fingers and toes would not warm up yesterday until crawled under a blanket even tho the house was warm.

Cool about the chicks! Jim seems like all the downtown food is too salty these days, probably always was. Sorry to hear about the goose egg! bl4 I see Element made the news. I'm sure they'll get it worked out. S"J" hope DH gets the job! BCC that is pretty cool. Had to laugh at the one listing but ya gotta start somewhere. GC owie owie owie! Stay warm people!

Good freezing (again) morning to all! The shower unfroze yesterday about 11:00 but I dont know about today...the toilet is frozen too....

These old houses built without plumbing....everything is scabbed on and the wind and cold just freezes it right up! At least the kitchen is working!

the guinea hen who flew the coop this morning is spending the night in the pine tree.. I was hoping she would come down and go into the chicken coop,.. but NOooo..

So THAT'S why my guineas like the trees so much--yours are the parents!!!

DrH I admire you that you can answer everyone's postings! Do you write it down with a pen, look them all up or have you discovered a fantastic memory drug??? (if you have I need to buy some from you!)
I hope your neck is better soon GC! That is a terrible injury to have when you are chasing a toddler! Good thing your DH could stay home.
No pips or peeps in my bator yet...I am letting them go until tomorrow or Sunday and then starting over! I am kind of anxious to break them and see if anything started...
I have to go outside now...we need a BRRRR Smiley...my frost-free pump was frozen last night--guess it is just "frost-free" huh? It never froze up last winter at all and I am surprised it has this year...I might have to carry buckets--should be a treat with my shoulder still autodislocating! Going out to a salvage yard this a.m. to see where a very plug is supposed to go, on my Audi. It says -7 on my puter, but car temp says in the positives.. so who's lying?
Our bedroom has severe temp swings, Dh's side has the heater on it, mine is by a big window.. I have been freezing at night.
Not so much tired of the snow, just the very COLD temps...
my dogs hate it, I started dreaming of California, my mother said it was in the 60's last week.. I love her but hate the fact she has all that nice warm weather!!
Why can't they get the snow that Dallas got??
