Something broke into the coop last night and killed all 4 chickens and 1 stinkbird (guinea). That's it for me. I'm gettin' out of the poultry "business". The woods ain't no place for chickens.

Wish I was at chickenstock with all of you sadly DH2B is in the fields today trying to finish up planting. Have tons of fun and don't forget all of us who couldn't make it

We had a broody due yesterday unfortunately we hadn't separated her and yesterday morning another hen climbed in and killed a chick that was either pipped or zipping. Idk if it was malicious it curious but of course we then separated the hen. She now has three beautiful chicks and we are waiting on the last egg which hasn't pipped yet. So far she has a SLW, a slw/black orp mix, and an EE. The last egg is a SLW/buff orp mix.

I planned to come after I closed the store today but I was doing some digging around the pond and moving some bags of mulch and I think I pulled a muscle. Think I'm going to take it easy tonight. Have fun!!

good evening, I am home from the bash.
I wasn't getting anything accomplished on Friday, so at about 4 PM I left and went to the bash. stayed in the bunk house over night or at least what was left of the night after 1:3oAM.

stayed at the bash until after the raffle and white elephant.

I got caught in a rain storm about 10 minutes away from the bash. parked on the side of STH 45 for about 20 minutes until I could see the road ahead. at times I could not see the white line right in front of the car while I was parked.

as usual, we did a lot of talking and joking at the bash. ie the early morning get to bed.

the food was great, and the desserts , too.

and as usual, I did not win the pizza cutter again this year.

my goal today is to try to find a fuel filter and fuel lines for the McCullough weed whacker.

If Fleet does not have them, I will order them from Amazon.
