Good morning! Another overcast day here. We have not been getting much production out of the solar array the past couple of weeks. :-(

Yep, we really were slammed yesterday by the dirty birds.....thought for sure we would at least be in the game till the end...NOT! Pretty much over in the first quarter.

Love this weather though...reminds me of Sringtime.

I been thinking about chicks since about mid December. I may force myself to wait another month yet. By that time they'll be feathered out early April and ready to go to the outside coop.

Nope not to early to think about peeps, if you plan to mail order them. This is the time to place your order with your wanted shipping date. If you wait toolong, your shipping date might not be available. I would have them shipped in April sometime at the earliest, in my opinion. Snowstorms in March can delay shipped peeps, causing losses not necessary if you wait a month longer. Buying local is always the best for the peeps best interest.

I ordered a bunch of chicks last year I waited to long couldn't get the ones I wanted Dutch bantams I got them this year you can oder now and let the hatchery know when you want them

Kinda nice that it's been mostly a mixed rain with snow today without much accumulation....I think we are good for the winter with over a 18" covering the ground....nice to not have to clear snow at camp this time around it's lookin.
