Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Takin ma shopping today. A mother son day is long overdue since I've been working 80 hours a week up until the last week or two. She doesn't get out too much so she loves heading to Wausau for the day and bumming around. Might make the mistake of going to the marathon county humane society "just to look". All about willpower

hhere is the picture I took yesterday,
He is just over 8 weeks old,
hopefully the people are coming for him tomorrow.
I just hate taking a picture and then not sending it to everybody.. LOL

Nice day in Wisconsin here...turkeys running everywhere here today...the wild ones... yep cd right on with my thinking of the treatment of animals. My buckeyes have that trait in my line that I've been breeding for over 7 years. The best friendly roosters I've worked with...and I'm old...LOL!
Butchered one rooster so far...it will be a Sunday roasted chicken.....just under 5lbs.

Keep the sun shining .... bigz

Yep, cw I always enjoy our shopping trips to Wausau....mostly the area around Aldi for it's easy in and out!

Gotta love Fish Fry Friday again already.....tonight it's cod loins and raw shrimp baked to perfection, and my favorite winter Cajun fries...wash it down with a few point special brews like Malted Milk Shake Lager and we are good to go....

Peace...bigz

We always do Aldis and I always take her somewhere for lunch. Today it was Ropa's Chicago style pizza. It was really good. We eat before we shop so avoid buying everything. I been on a wheat beer kick lately...I could see this lasting a while

Brent, if I ate like you do, I would weigh 222 pounds..
Oh, wait,, I do..

I tried that wheat beer, tasty stuff .

we went to the restaurant so I could play cards. we went in early and had a beer and walleye. I always get the big order. I can eat only the narrow tips off of the slabs, then I take the wide flat parts home and make sandwiches for my next two meals..

I let the chickens out this morning. we just got home and I didn't bother closing their door. they may as well go out tomorrow morning, too.

I lost contact with the Minn people. I hope they didn't change their mind about the puppy.
I have another person waiting in the wings from LaCrosse.

Corey, one of these times when you come to wausau, let me know and maybe we can have a cuppa coffee or something.. It would have to be in the daytime because I am not allowed to drive at night. going blind, you see..

stopped at Walgreen Drugs around midnight. the weirdos are everywhere.. I asked Annie if the circus was in town.
I would be afraid to be a night clerk ..

good afternoon,
Brent, my asparagus is coming up. one of them is 3" tall.
AND some of the apple scions are forming roots.
there are some new grape leaves on some of the scions in the water bucket. I will be planting them into dirt..

I finished cutting the last 4 squashes today. I put the seeds into water to ferment. I read that a couple of days of fermenting kills many possible bad bacteria
The chickens are enjoying the cut up squashes..

the Minn people must have decided not to come for the pup today. so I emailed two other people who are interested.
one from Green Bay, one from LaCrosse.
first come first served.

Nice warm day today felt good. Just made it home from my granddaughters birthday party. Plenty of pizza and chips and beer of course. They had cake in ice cream cones....I skipped those. Good to hear Jim, that the asparagus is starting to show their faces, if they all sprout you should have plenty of plants to plant. The trails are open here yet, but they won't last long with this nice weather....if you love to snowmobile, this week end could be the last good one I'm thinkin.

Two fawns that were hit by cars on our road musta been picked up by the Amish.....they were really hit hard and can't imagine they were much more than dog food. Didn't go to waste, I guess.

Hope the sturgeon spearing crowd had a safe day on the ice?

bigz
