Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

nice to see somebody on here.
Annie is at work and I get bored . so I come online and hope to see some life ..

we had meatloaf for dinner. mashed taters and beets from the freezer.

Our Minn people did not show up today. so I contacted two other people who were waiting. the one from LaCrosse did not respond, but the one from Marguete did. she wants to come tomorrow. we will see. we will see.

I am potty training the pup. he did good on our first try.
He loves going outside. and he has the stairs mastered pretty good now. he is not real graceful, but he makes it up and down.

On the last deer I cut up, I saved all the trimmings and ground them into hamburger for the dogs. once that is ground up, you can't tell it from real hamburger. kind of makes you wonder about the stuff in the supermarket..

I WENT TO THE GARDEN EXPO IN MADISON TODAY. THERE WAS ONLY ONE SEMINAR THAT I WAS INTERESTED IN (SMALL SCALE MAPLE SYRUP MAKING) I LEARNED A FEW THINGS. THE REST OF THE TIME WAS SPENT BROWSING THE MANY OFFERINGS OF VENDORS AND FIGHTING THE CROWD. IF NOT FOR THE TIME SPENT WITH A DEAR FRIEND, I WOULD NOT GO...

Every Spring and Fall they have a huge Carley's consignment auction here on the neighbors about a mile from me cw....they have a lot of those usually...it's farm machinery and anything else you can imagine....it's a all day event with food and stuff on the grounds provided....prolly 20 acres or more of stuff for sale. If you are looking for something, chances are you can find it there...I'll give a heads up when the next one is scheduled. It's all organized and run by some of the best in that business. You need to go to their office there and get a bidding number, and then follow the auction trucks down the rows of stuff.....they have two teams going at the same time, and it still takes all day to finish. Kinda huge event here twice a year.

Nice melt out there today.....sure am glad I'm not on bago with the wind that's out there today. Gotta be some new cracks forming today.

It seems like that would be a awesome no maintenance pig house. 87" across should be plenty of room for a few butcher hogs. Definitely keep me posted on that one bigz

Yep cw, no problem on keeping you posted about the auction....it is a steady stream of traffic over there from folks driving through the organized rows of stuff and checking out what will be for sale on auction day.

Roasted home grown chicken tonight, with mashed taters and frozen sweet corn....suzie baked today and with the ho-made bread came a batch of bread rolls.....hope I'm still hungry when the chicken is done....I just can't stay away from the warm bread rolls. They are as good as it gets....addicting stuff...can't eat just one..or two.

good Sunday afternoon,

sunny and windy, the snow should be melting today, and tomorrow it is going to be warmer.

got an email from marguette UP. yesterday. .
they were here by 10 AM today and got the puppy.
when I die, I want to come back as a puppy to these people.

I let the chickens out. not on purpose, they just flocked through the door when I went in to get the feeder..

Zeke is limping on his right front leg. I poked around, didn't find any blood or bullet hole. but his shoulder is tender. might have slipped on the ice ..
He is going in for his rabies shot this week, I'll have the vet look at it.

Cory, off and on there are large containers listed on wausau craig's list in the farm and garden section.

Sometimes you can get cargo shipping crates from moving trucking terminals. (Graebels etc) they are well built out of plywood.
they are about 4 ft wide, 8 feet tall and 8 feet deep. the sizes vary sometimes.
