I would love a hot climate. I do not tolerate cold well.
There are more than Mormans in Boise. The majority of people we met were not from Boise or even Idaho.
Property prices depend on where you look. I did a quick search, found places that were reasonably priced, others not so much. Property taxes are super cheap though.....
The transplants from Cali are causing inflation in the housing costs. There is also not enough housing for all the people trying to move there.
The countryside is beautiful! I could completely embrace mild winters without horrendous snowfalls and arctic freezer blasts. I also welcome the opportunity to grow plants that are compatible with the 6-7 grow zone. I know I need to head out there a few times to get a food feel for the place.
I am always on the lookout for someplace warmer to live. I am tired of paying the heating bills and dressing like an Eskimo for 9 months of the year.
My sister grew up in northern WI, she now lives near Boise. After 20+ years of living there, she whines when they get snow and complains about the cold when the temps drop in the winter. lol
Just rain here. This weekend we are expecting 3-5 inches. Ugh! I too would love a warmer climate but not at the expense of hurricanes, landslides, earthquakes, typhoons, whatever!
Tonight for FFF it's baked cod loins and breaded baked cod loins as a combo with baked potatoes and fresh cantaloupe for a fresh side dish.
Wild turkeys are hungry with the deep snow we have here again. I had 9 here today raiding the bird feeder for the attempt at a full crop.....I think some were disappointed and will be hungry on the roost tonight.
Hope everyone had a great week end. Finally starting to get some melt here, but still have a long way to go before we see any grass here.
The roo's are on full throttle in their separate pen and anxious to get after the hens, if given the chance.
Busy this week with the last Lenten breakfast at church, as well as the sunrise breakfast Easter Morning (plus the shopping)...toss in some Turkey hunting this first week starting Wen and I'm calling it a full schedule here. Hard to beat that....
4-5 inches of snow today. I forgot to pick my daffodils before it started. I have some on the south side of the house that always bloom early. It should melt Monday though.
My daughter takes one of her dogs for nose work and she had her first trial today. Passed with flying colors! She now has some letters after her name: Gen, ORT.
