Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I finally got off my lazy adz and went outside. I mowed up a nice pile of dried grass and used it to mulch the garlic bed. I don't plan on doing anything else to it until it is time to cut the scones. I don't expect many weeds.
after the garlic is pulled, I want to use the bed to start root stock. elderberries, apples and plums.
maybe plant some lettuce or something, too.
Sure is a quiet group we have here.
This is my last post. Gotta have someone to talk to.

Definitely don't want snow. But the farmers were in the fields today and it was so dry. Lets hope warmer weathers coming.
I see the drought map South WI seems dry. I am somewhat south middle west, still kinda wet, I have clay, lotta clay here till you get towards town.
Sure could use some warm days, ground is cold yet, not many farmers here working fields yet.

It is very dry in southern wi. But we got rain. And i think warmer weather is coming. Farmers were in the fields and it was so dusty they could barely see around them.

We are fairly wet around here - alot of the farm fields still have water sitting in them. I was just laid-off so I will have some free time to get the garden ready until I find a new job.
We did receive the check from the farmer who rents our field, so he is planning on planting it again this year. Not much work going on in the fields around us yet.

Haven't seen any asparagus popping up yet either. We usually are picking before Mothers Day. Guess this spring has simply been too cold so far.
The rhubarb has popped up. I have a plant near the house that is really struggling, I think I will move it out of the dog yard. It has been trampled every year. Just need to decide where to move it too. What are the ideal conditions for rhubarb?

I would love for more action here! I am still a newbie to the site. Western WI about 20 min from MN. Wet here, farmers not working fields here either, no asparagus yet but all 3 rhubarb are up. @wyoDreamer not sure about ideal conditions for rhubarb but they do like full sun, don't like to be too wet or dry (lol), depending on age maybe try dividing it? I add compost in the spring and cover it overwinter.

My rhubarb just popped up.

Anyone Northeast Wisconsin/U.P. of Michigan selling Ducks? I have 12 Khaki's coming on the 1st of June, but they're Ducklings and won't lay an egg for 6 months, if I'm lucky. I'd like a couple of Hens to start laying right away, after acclamation to my coop and run.
I am from southwest Wisconsin maybe try posting in the Michigan group to. Some people from Wisconsin post there.
