Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

oh no stayed on the ground,
Hy Vee opened here went down and did a quick peek, large store. Does not seem all that much cheaper, than everything is going up so fast over the last months.
Working on building a corral to move cattle out, redoing some of it friend here today.

Speaking of food prices might have to extend my wifes garden and start doing a little canning. I used to do some canning (tomatoes), but never saw that much savings in it.
I see tomato production in Calif is down, could be the new trend. Lack of water in Calif for crops.
well back to the fence.
Are you near La Crosse? Hy Vee just opened up here recently. I haven't been yet.

Never heard of Hy Vee. they just opened a
TSC store in Merrill. I was there a couple of times.
the clerks are nicer than Fleet Farm. More helpful.
today I hope to get some branches cleaned up from
the yard. can't beat this nice weather, eh ?
yesterday a big buck strolled along the edge of our
lawn. probably looking for our doe. she is hanging
around here with her two fawns from this spring.
caught squirrel number 15 . moved him far away from
the house. told him to stay away.

Hy Vee is a grocery store with restaurants or at least it is here. Wish TSC was by La Crosse give farm fleet some competition. Sometimes i go to fleet farm in MN.
Fleet Farm is OK if you know where what you want
is. but don't expect anyone to be around to help you
find something. ever since they have new owners, the
clerks are mostly new and most of them have no clue
if you ask them a question. the kids in hdwe don't know
how to interpret the description of a bolt. and forget
about metric sizes.. or inner tube sizes.
Other than hammer or screw driver, they don't know
tools, either.

fleet farm has new owners? Mills family sold out?
Young kids ask them a cell phone question they will know the answer. Seems most store with unemplyment so low, hard to find help and then find something. Just spent over a half hour id not longer in back menards picking up lumber and what a mess. DId not get all my lumber as some of it was inside. I said screw it. I might have enough scraps here.

Ahhh yes, Menard's. they are not quite as bad as F*F.
When I was contracting, I had lots of "fun" with some
of the yard birds.. especially the summer help..
Today I cleaned up the black walnut branches I cut off
earlier this summer. I made some firewood and some
blanks for lathe turning.
Annie spotted squirrel number 16 in the back of a truck I use
for storing lumber. she said the truck is crammed full of
black walnuts. looks like I am going to move half of my
trap line tomorrow.
