Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I agree, there is a no-tolerance rule here as well. We've only had two that grew up to be horribly mean. One got a trip to the woods with me, and the other the neighbor farmer wanted him. She got a hoot out of watching a hot-headed little white silkie roo trying to hump her Brahmas. That was last fall and she still has him, and them.

Silkies are just too small IMO to bother with butchering and even though I helped my dad do 100s when I was a kid, it just didn't sound like anything I wanted to do again.
Funny you should mention a trip to the woods. Cause that’s exactly what my husband and Jones did.

I have to do it here. Hubby won't unless it's a matter of life or death. I've seen him run barefoot chasing a bear with my 20-gauge shooting up in the air so I know it's not fear, but I grew up with guns and killing varments, and he didn't. I don't mind.

I'm surprised with a young rooster you didn't eat him.
With him being coyote bait I hope you had a good hunt.
Eddie has been behaving and as long as I don't let Cooper chase him he looks out for the hens and they are all getting along just fine.

I did butcher him, but after looking at how dark the meat was, and how tough it was, we tossed it.
