I can hardly keep up with all of you!!!
newbies!
Congrats Raiquee!
Good job with all the hatches!
Happy Easter!
Everything else; way to go, good job, congrats,...... did I miss anything??????
TO if I had known you were going to be up in Appleton I would have told you to stop by and check out the rest of the ducks. Apparently the black one (Jules) has decided to go broody on me. I was not sure at first but she is plucking down from her belly so I am thinking she is going to do this for the long haul. I went in the housing section of the pen today and went through the eggs she was sitting on, pitched all the cracked ones, removed the dirty ones, and just plan took out enough eggs until she was sitting on a reasonable number (I thought 7 was a good amount). Now I guess we will just sit back and see what happens. I do not have my incubator going or I would have put the rest of the eggs into it just to see if they were still viable. She had so many eggs under her I do not think it would be possible for any of them to be good yet.......
Easter was wonderful here. Made cheesecake, apple pie, and another lemon meringue pie to go along with roast leg of lamb. Yummy! Still stuffed! Had a wonderful time visiting with my big bro, his family, and my sis and her family, all jammed into my moms house. Did all the fun Easter things with the kids; colored eggs, did the egg hunt, ate lots of chocolate and of course a ton of peeps! I am so happy the weather finally decided to cooperate! I could have had it a few degrees warmer but I'll take what I can get!
It will be nice to have a day off tomorrow and not have to do anything.
Anyway; say goodnight Gracie.....
