good morning.. I didn't ost last night because I figure , what for? nobody will be around to read it anyway.. but the world didn't end so I guess it is safe again for awhile.. I am older than most of you here, so I have survived more world endings than the rest of you.. I feel very fortunate indeed ...

3 more turkeys for the chickTV.. 21 total, now..

I am going to move the pen away from the garage today if the rain holds off.. then I have to put the small 2ft x 3ft brooder hood in it for heat..

Keedokes, tell them at your interview that you can bring eggs..

better get off here and clean out the hatcher.. more eggs due soon..

then out to do the feeding and move the pen..

At least when it comes to chickens, ducks, turkeys and guineas !!! Looks like I would have been the only one to read your post late last night. My bedtime is around 2am. Working on that though !!! So if I do stay up late it can sometimes be when the sun comes up !!

This new computer came with some trial games that I've been playing !!! They are about as addicting as chickens !!!

My guineas are developing nicely. Have most of them sold (actually giving some to neighbor) then the next batch will be for us. Found a nest of guinea eggs outside. I'll have to get pictures of that. Very smart guineas I have.
Two are missing but wondering if they will appear one day with keets or if the fox got ahold of them. Lost a white rock last week to what I think was the fox. Pile of white feathers and but no body.

Well, have to get in a game of Hotel Dash before I get up and moving about !!

I am taking a forced break.. I hauled a load of junk to the burn pile and started to clean out the pen.. there is a UkoKei laying her egg in the pen, so I have to wait for her to "get 'er done"..

when I dumped the trash onto the burn pile, a turkey came charging out.. I think I found their nest.. I will have Annie go back there and check it out..

sure is a nice day today.. I suppose everybody is outside, eh?

FT, If you all are going to learn from my mistakes, then you are going to be one smart group, because I make a lot of mistakes.

I still cannot put a name to the faces, nor a real name to most of the "handles".. I do not like "handles".. I prefer real names.. especially when meeting face to face..

I'm off to see if the chicken is done.. I wonder where they will lay once i move the pen and they can no longer get into it..??

Well, three of the six made it. The last one to hatch I had to 'help' (sorry Jim, it was so close to hatching and everything was dry...) he just needed that extra boost of shell removal and he just pushed right out! After everyone dries out I'll try to get a picture......

oh what a cute duckling. My birds are out, mowed the yard and planted some flowers. The mosquitos are in swarms around my house. It is supposed to storm this afternoon. hopefully can get yard work done after lunch.

Hey everyone!!

Well this weekend we entered the wonderful world of potty training!!

Cause I didn't have enough on my plate!! Damien is doing really well with it actually...we use good ol' fashioned bribery with him and it's working! If he asks to go potty we give him 1 MnM, if he goes pee, he gets 2 and if he goes poo he gets 3! He seems to be stoked about it. We also play a potty game (it's adding so we aren't only teaching him to go potty but math too!) and he seems to like it.

We aren't using pull ups, because it doesn't phase him when he gets wet. So, I will need to clean my carpet again once the potty training is done, cause hes peed a few times on it. Oh well. Anyone have tips? We are teaching him sitting down right now, as I don't think he knows if he has to pee or poop yet, so once he figures that out we will transition to standing.

Any tips for boys would be helpful

Raqui- good luck. We got lucky with potty training. I tried when the twins were 2.5 with little interest and then right after their third birthday they met a slightly older friend who was potty trained and that was it. We made my son sit until eh turned 4- so he figured that out for everything and it worked well. Now he knows what to do. We bribed too with gummy bears(doesnt work if you use gummy vitamins though) and we made them sit at least every hour and try for the first month or so. sounds like alot, but works. Good luck.

Love the beautiful momma duck. Not going there... Dh would kill me. He thinks my chicken math is out of control as it is.

Rummage was a bust this weekend. Must have been the nice weather, everyone was out in their yards. taking a big pile to good will. Anyone in madison area need an entertainment cabinet? It is a nice big oak entertainment center for a box(not flat) tv. We are selling the tv that fits in it too. uggh. Wish it would all just go!

FT..you will not be a stranger long at the bash, I'm sure! I think BCC charged $1 per bird without any milage fees...she might use her own ho-made equipment....maybe send her a e-mail or pm...She must busy hasen't been on in awhile either. I hope her and fm make the bash

Nice of the rain to hold off so far.... we finished planting the garden and mowed grass yesterday late afternoon once DH got home from work and today we moved a few pens around to better utilize the space- so I have only 1 extra dog crate in use(or will once I finish cleaning one up

) DS(6) is at a birthday party till 5 pm and DH and DD are heading out to softball practice and than DS(9) has practice at 6:30 pm..... if the storms hold off.

Went and picked up 2 new cherry trees and planted them this afternoon- our Bing cherry tree didn't make it this past winter after 2 years. Have to pick up a McIntosh apple tree to replace the one we lost 2 years ago.

off to play Wii with DS(9) until having to go pick up DS(6)
