Good afternoon all.
It is MISERABLY HOT here today.. 97, gonna be in the 90's rest of the week, which means getting out in the garage at 5 a.m to get any packing done out there. Knew it was gonna be really hot though because DH came home. Never fails, cooler weather while he's gone, day he comes home goes back to scorching hot.
Glad to hear some teens will be coming to the bash, will make it easier to convince DH and DSD to attend. Sadly her one friend isn't going to be able to come down for a couple of weeks this summer, so this morning she and her dad were looking at summer programs through the park district so she could meet some kids. 15 can be such an awkward age
Raiquee we had great success with the M&M's with my grandson. We used the little mini's so it looked like he was getting big rewards! Didn't take long at all, but about every hour and 1/2 we'd make him try. Good luck!
Baby what a beautiful duck and baby, what kind is the momma?
jvls, I too have been through a number of the end of the world deals. My favorite was years ago, I was living in Illinois and working midnights and driving to work and for some reason that night was picking up a radio station out of Alabama or somewhere down south. The preacher predicted the end of the world sometime in September as I recall, only a couple of weeks from that night. I noticed at the end of his message about the coming Armeggedon he didn't foreget to ask for donations, which I found hysterical. Even he didn't appear to believe his prediction! I have to admit I was a little disappointed, Carol had me all psyched that I might be able to get a nice Amish farm if it proved true!
Glad to hear folks are finally getting some gardening done. Seems I won't be too far off schedule when I get there and may be able to get a few things in yet. I'm sure if we applied ourselves we could be out of here in 4 or 5 days, but poor hubby is just exhausted from all the travel, otherwise I'd suggest it. I can't wait to get out of here!
Well, off to pack some more...
