Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Thanks for answering the ?'s Jim...I thought the same thing about the DW. But the I looked at mine and if I had a 1' cupboard under it it would indeed raise it to the level of the cabinet.
As to the yeast mixture...are you SURE you had that in the origional post? Dam^, I must be older than I thought if you did...I might go back and check if there is an ETA!
Just finished scooping out the Bud Candy for this weekend. I had a piece--it was GOOD! I have the turkey in the Nesco and it is starting to smell really good--I bet the cats will be in it come the morning!
Speaking of...I better get to bed. Lots to do to get ready for company on Sunday! Nighties! TerriObarelyabletokeephereyesopen

ask and ye shall receive,,

in 1/2 cup of warm water, dissolve 1 teaspoon sugar and 1 tablespoon yeast..

there are still 3 more batches in the oven, but this should give you an idea of what we were up to today..

in 1/2 cup of warm water, add 1 teaspoon sugar and 1 tablespoon yeast.. set aside until it foams up nicely.. prolly will take about 15 minutes..

mix together 1 egg, 1/3 cup oil, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 cup sugar and just slightly less than one cup of milk.... beat it until the egg is well mixed with all the ingredients.. (then come back) and add exactly 2 cups of flour.. mix until everything is well mixed, then add the yeast mixture.. now add slightly less than 2 cups of flour.. mix until you have a ball of dough that is sticky to the touch, but does not stick to you..

put the dough onto a floured board and knead it until it feels like a baby's bottom..

put into a greased bowl and let it rise until about double in bulk.. (about 45 minutes)

divide the dough into (I made 15) pieces... roll each piece into a ball and place into a greased 9 x 11 cake pan..

I used grape seed oil,, you can use whatever oil you prefer...

I also use a kitchen aid mixer with a bread hook...

bake at 375 for about 20 minutes,, ovens differ, so yours might take longer,, or less time..

H&R... too bad about the pheasant.

Ok.... fading faster than I thought I would... headache isn't helping. Guess you miss most of my whine... all I'm going to say is I get so tired trying not to piss anyone else off and walking on eggshells, but when I get ******.... I'm an old *****!

Oh well.... night all!

Terri- do you think the goats would chew through the extension cords?

Judge - they make a corrugated split tubing you can run the extension cord through, at least the one that is closest to the goats. You can also use PVC pipe.
Also you can simply make several loose zip tie "hangers" pass the cord through them and nail/staple the zip tie as close to the "front" or "back" side of a flat piece of wood/board so the goats can't hook a horn or lip it. You could also go HIGH, and simply put it out of their reach, or LOW, running it close to the fencing on the ground.
A friend of mine runs cords out to his horse water tanks, where the de-icer connects to the cord, he has it sitting on a cement paver, with another paver on top to keep ice and snow from building up on it, or one year he used to flat stones overlapping each other on the top.
Hope this helps.

Good White Morning All! Cindy quit walking on egg shells! Unless it's in the yard for the chickens. CC thanks! Just need to vent, hate bothering others with my problems. I can just hear J beotching my Goldie does the same thing makes her madder to laugh at her. So of course I have to. mazo got a chuckle out of "blend in" , good luck! judge I asked a mech engineer once about the hot water thing and he didn't know. Maybe Jim will share his knowledge. My opinion is that it has less oxygen in it therefore it freezes faster.

It isn't bad when I have all day to do it. With all those chillins it can't be easy to deal with all the blood! Looks to be about 4" out there and it's still snowing lightly. Will plow before heading to hospital. L got the tube out yesterday and their going let her have broth and maybe soft food today to see how it goes.

We both got some sleep last night. Dad got releasted yesterday but is still fighting the C-diff infection. My youngest sis asked if I could help get him to his appointments in the next couple of weeks. Had to tell her that I didn't know yet it depended on how well L was doing. Have another sis that lives right there that doesn't work but she's a train wreck. Thinking the valley area should have some kind of program to get the elderly to appointments.

Might be doing a lot more road trips if I can. Gotta go.

The chickens seemed to have survived their week long lock in. Their egg production dropped while we were gone to one per day. I only saw 2 of 3 this morning but didn't bother checking the nest box. I'll go out in a bit to let them range the yard.

Christmas with the family was great fun. I just wish the long travel wasn't involved.

Looks like the snow is done by us- DH got in about 2 am from removing snow- said there was a healthy 2 inches out there maybe a bit more in spots. Trying to keep the kids somewhat low key so he can sleep another hour.
