Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

good morning,, small chickens taste just like big chickens..It is not a waste to butcher them..

I was going to work in the garage today.. hmmm, might have to postpone that.. might bring the carb inside and work on it at the kitchen table.. won't be the first time..

I am still going to Fleet to see what kind of lubricant I can find that won't freeze.. I am thinking door lock lube.. I will get silicone if I can find it..

I have always bought my own insurance... I would have lost my house a couple of times if I had not had it.. Yes it is expensive.. and when you have to decide if you want it or food, well,,,,,,,,,,,,
we went through that , too..

I am going to let the birds loose, but I don't think they will stay out very long.. I can hear the guineas already with their very vocal objections..

those peacocks from Illinois are sure coddled.. my boys stay out all year round.. I can't even chase them inside.. the hens will go in, though.. I leave it up to them what they want to do..

jim-

I dont want to add to your shopping list, BUT I have always thought lithium grease was supposed to not freeze at local temps. comes in a spray can. I have used it on my shotguns for years. It may be too viscous to start with for your purposes is the downside i guess.

ok,,chores done and thawed out my fingers

Jim, these old fords have a choke rod for a reason,,,can't you get one on Ollie?

cold enough in the big coop that the new waterer had some ice, moved it over to the larger heater,,,girls got alot of the laying done early today,,think the eggs get cold in their butts?

inside projects for sure today, paperwork to start since that is the job I dislike the most,,,lol

need to get a couple things ordered for the Sportsman to make it easier,,,talking to a breeder last night she reminded me these incubators work best when full

Yeah, Unk, I was considering just not hooking up the cable and choking by hand at the carb..
but now it has become a challenge, and I intend to win.. If I had a straight shot to the carb, I could rig up a rod, I guess.. I will have to give that a look see.. hmmmm..

yup, that breeder is an enabler for sure..

those early eggs are because the girls are all tensed up.. sort of squeezes those eggs out..

I let the dogs out at about 10 last night.. after midnight I whistled and only the pup (still un-named) came in.. Dora must have a nest somewhere.. I am thinking of Gus as a name for the pup.. I cannot keep Billy Joe as a name.. even at the vets office, they tend to call him a she.
