If you all remember back to the NYD hatch along and my experience with the Partridge Penendesceca eggs I bought from My Pet Chicken, well I have an update. A week after the last email from them, I received a phone call. They had looked into the problem further, even getting the owner involved. According to them their shipping methods have been changed (remember these eggs are drop shipped from Gabbard Farms) and they wanted to send me a second set of 12 eggs for free. Of course they weren't laying well enough at the time so she said they would call when the eggs could be sent. (funny they didn't have any trouble sending eggs in the middle of Dec though) I got a call yesterday and an email confirmation with a tracking number, the replacement eggs will be here Wednesday! (good timing as my White Orpinton eggs will be moving into the other incubator for lock down on Saturday, I'll just move them over early and put the turner on for a few days)

I'm happy that My Pet Chicken it trying to make it right and they looking into how these eggs were being handled and shipped. Now I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed that at least a few of this batch develop and hatch.

I will keep you updated along the way as these are incubated.

I was just checking out if there was an Easter Hatch-a-long... There's been for the last three years, so hopefully there will be again...

Off to dream about eggs, and more eggs and MORE eggs in the incubator!

They are looking for others to help run the Easter egg hatch a long.

I am glad they are making it right Cassie!

Well my cold is now in my chest, Joan has gotten my stomach/intestine thing, I have wet grass hay on the back of the truck because I was too stoopid to put it under a tarp.

AND we have a small trickle stream in the basement from all the water, so now I have to start pulling clothes up that were due to be washed and move them so I can
wash them and not have them severely soaked by the stream in the basement...
sigh...

OH and to top it all off, I find out that our General Manager is leaving, he got a job similar to one he had before attempting to run an auto parts store (service underwriter I think).
So the 23 (if that) yr old may get the GM position, we will have an interim one from Beloit, and I am sure the hateful/spiteful terrible quasi-assistant manager will blow a gasket
when he finds out that not only does the 23 yr old have senority in the company, but in the store.
(oh for those who need to know the 23 yr is the other quasi assistant manager who tried to get me to leave the company)
So guess what I really really need to find another job!!!

Whoot! The Wyoming travel guide showed up yesterday along with my Baker Creek Heirloom seed catalog!

Off to the school today to go on a field trip...... to my other job! We are going to the PAC in Appleton and then over the the Weis museum at the University.

The majority of the schools East and North of us have a 2 hour delay, up by BigZ they cancelled. NOT looking forward to tomorrow's drive in..... all the snow! Of course the tires on the Jeep are cr@p so I will probably end up taking the van. Fun, fun, fun!!!!

Ok, I better get ready, I think we are leaving right away around 8.....

Good Morning! WOW so much going on. Big WELCOME Jel! [kinda liked the Jet moniker] Lots of help coming your way! Bl4 forgot to say that cake looked too good to eat but think I could do it. Have fun today! hehehe. mazo be dang careful getting those traps out! Anyone heard from FT or MLH? I hate when they just leave us hanging. CD glad their making it right on the eggs! GR no wonder your hurtin. Your supposed to ride the ATV not push it. TO must take a long time to get where your going with only one foot grippin. Ya keep going in circles. Had to walk L to the car this morning. Solid ice out there after plowing. Think I'll put the chains on for the next round. Now 'they've' decide to name snow falls. WTH? Oooo look out it's a cloud storm!

IT'S JUST WINTER! Was surprised with 7 eggs yesterday.

Better get chores done.

Lockdown day!!!!

I'm so excited. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Wow- I think I could open an ice skating rink on our driveway. Had to hold on to the kids on the way down to the bus. The thunder and lightening woke up our 3yr old, so he was crying and ended up in our bed. I wish I could have just stayed snuggled in bed. Hoping it dries out a little today. I would like to go to the feed mill to get a bag of starter feed and the others need feed soon too. Last time I was there a 50lb back of laying mash was just under $14. Hope the prices are the same still.
Annoyed though. Two weeks ago an insurance sales man came around for the second time. The first time DH told him to come back a different time because I was the one to talk to. I tried to dismiss him and tell him we weren't interested but he insisted that it would only take 15min. and then rattled off the names of a few of our neighbors that he had already talked to. Well needless to say he is coming today at 11. I really need to learn not to be so meek and be more assertive
