Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Good evening---I had a blast with the kiddos today! They are very nice children. Tomorrow they will be here longer...I will report if they are still nice! LOL! We went to St Vincent's and got the boy some snowpants. I sure hope the Dad brings them tomorrow--Also picked up some games and story books--went for a walk and hit all the puddles in the park--got some new crayons and coloring books at Dollar General. So I am set for now--perhaps tomorrow we will head to the basement and rescue some of those toys from long ago? I cant wait until summer when we can play in the sandbox!
I had a load of posts to read...let's see--great news on the kitty BL4! May he continue to recover.
Jim I loved your joke! Had to read it a few times to "get it" but I finally did. Tomski there was something I was going to say to you--cant remember it now-shucks! That looks like a nice big roo Deli! And I did chicks in the basement too---if you put styro on the walls cover it with metal or wood! Chickens have a deep affection for styrofoam! They will pick off any that they can reach. Mine were inside a room in the basement along with quail...there is a disgusting amount of dust down there now! I really didnt think it would permeate the walls but it has!

OK folks--I am heading off to bed...DH is back in Nebraska...just in time for another snow storm it sound like!

We get to Madison..kids live there..my DH is working in Madison for the next few weeks.. He is possibly meeting someone and dropping off eggs for me next Tuesday. He could take Black Foot as long as you took him early Tuesday morning before he went to work. Maybe meet up at Starbucks..He is working on the West Side..staying on the East side..so could meet any where inbetween

East side would be best for me. What time does he go to work. My son goes to school at 8:30 and I need to drop him off, so we would either need to meet by 7:30 or 9:30. I'm about 45 minutes north. Our Marans aren't separated into breeding pens yet as I'm kind of a gimp with a cane and my hubby is over the road. My son and I have been remodeling a little and reinforcing them before we move anybody. We did get the Hamburgs moved, but that's only because we have orders for them and they are small. I can just give your hubby the money if you want to go that route too. Let me know what works.

Good evening all. Getting the stray rabbit from cuties DH tomorrow. I've never raised rabbits but have done some research. ...I would like to know what those of you that have rabbits do for food. I have read 1/3 timothy hay, 1/3pellets (possibly optional), 1/3 fresh greens daily. Any opinions?

I have some HRIR I just hatched out..nice birds.. For so young they are feathered out really nice they are 7 weeks old now
They do look good. That's another thing on my son's list of gotta haves. He has some hatchery stock he got 5 or 6 years ago, but now wants heritage. He wants to grow up to be a chicken farmer. I need to find him a mentor! Then I need to find him some cheap labor! Oh wait that's called Mom will you help. He also wants Barnevelders and the rest is out of my head cause its late and I'm tired. Our property does get quite colorful over the summer with all the free ranging.
