Hey cuties!

Rhonda and Rhoda Morganstern are now at home and receiving visitors in Waupaca!  They were very curious about their new digs and had to examine every nook and cranny.  They had a bit to eat and drink, too.  Went back to check on them after we went out to dinner and they were both still on the floor.  Don't know if they're just nervous about the new surroundings or just haven't figured out the roost yet.  We'll see how they are in the morning after they've had their oatmeal!

Thanks again for sharing your flock with me!  I love them!!

Im soooo glad the girls are safe and sound! Feeling empty.... first chip (mr gibs); and now 2 girls! Hope those chickies get her quickly!! I know they will be super happy!!! I wou ld probably put them up on the perches... just so they get it. They always went up on their own here, but I think your right... new surroundings.
I know theyll enjoy breakfast! Their very good talkers too

Hhhhhmmmmmm... maybe even put them in the nest box in the am. The kiddos always do that here when we first get a girl lol

Does anyone know- with my first hatch last month, all the eggs layed flat on the mesh and I turned them by hand. This time I am going to leave them in the carton and just tilt the carton side to side instead of hand turning, but I am worried that the top of the eggs will be too close to the element and they will cook on top. Is that something to worry about?

I guess I will be starting up one of the bators tomorrow,, A Hmong lady dropped off a bunch of eggs for hatching while I was gone today..

Hi All!
Good Luck to all starting a hatch this weekend! Wish I could have joined you, but only want to hatch with broodies this year. That is unless the turkeys start turning them out regularly!

I am trying a new pizza crust recipe for tomorrow (today to you). I have been looking for years for the perfect crust! Thin, bubbly and slightly yeasty. A place in Lake Geneva made that kind of crust but the guy that made it retired, died or something. What ever, the ones making it now don't quite hit the mark. In any case, home made pizza is so good!

Ok quick question,for my incubating experts...my temp is right around 99-100 but my humidity is at 20. Is that too low or ok?i remember reading it is best around 30... With a dry hatch that is.just wanted to check.
