Here is a few pics of my Big Red lol. Ok first two pics are from October when I got her, the last pic is recent.

she looks like a production hybrid. Pretty yellow feet tell me she is going keep producing.

Could be a cherry egger ..cherry colored eggs if it is one.

She lays a nice brown egg. Her's is the 3rd from the left. The one next to hers in a barred rock egg, which is actually brown too but much lighter.

I just got finished rearranging eggs and setting the new batch.. New: 7 guinea, 8 geese, 31 chicken (for Yang) and 2 suspected ducks (for Yang)

Later on, will anybody want muscovys ? I had an offer for, "how many eggs do you want ?
last time he brought me 84 eggs..
they have not started laying yet, so there is time to think about it..

I had a heII of a time getting bator #3 to settle down to 99.5 F..

In that egg flat that I mentioned earlier,, I can get 8 goose eggs in a row, and there are 4 rows in the flat.. I guess that is a few more than the 18 I estimated..eh?

with these two bators running, the temp in the room is 85 F..

I am thinking of getting one or two more thermometer/hygrometers .. two of the ones I have now do not show the decimals..

and the one that does show decimals,, does not show humidity..

Cities it was a good time seeing family just wish it was a Lil longer.
Went to pawn stars store... CSI experience and did pretty well at the craps table. Just had hoped spring arrived mere while I was gone.

Apyl... she looks like my cinnamon queen (aka red sex link) looked like. They are less red , more browny red. Laid great for a while, but not as friendly as some others. Have not had much luck with sex links being friendly and that is a requirement with my coop.

You know I have 50 plus chicks ordered for mid april, about 15 brlwd. boy oh boy i cant wait. I only wish i new about all the fun people on this thread, it would have been so much more fun building a flock with all the possabilities here in Wis. I hope to hatch out some chicks and give some to some youngsters to share in the fun.

Jim... I'm sure you have your favorite, but the therm/hygrometer I like is by Fluko. It's a digital jobber, inexpensive, and works well. I get them off Amazon. (I'm actually afraid to suggest anything to you because you already know everything!)

Apyl, she does look very similar to a PR, but a little heavier in the body/undercarriage. Mine had feathers that seemed to lay a little flatter/closer to the body? She seems a bit poofier. Sorry I'm not much help.

I was really glad to see him & Paul both in the top 10. He's been consistant so far this season. I sure hope it stays that way.
