UnkaDan, I hatched a Spanish black one time He was very pretty, but then he slipped (or was pushed ; murdered) off the roost and got hung upside down where he died..
I am tempted to get a couple of those midget whites (vertically challenged turkeys) ..
how much do they weigh dress out ? we need only a very small bird for only 3 ov us old people. If we need more, we can always cook 2 or 3 ..
what type of body shape do they have ? is it like the wild turkeys ? torpedo shaped ?
sunshine,, trading does not reduce the size of your flock, unless you trade 2 for one..

Well once you see these vertically challenged turkeys you will totally want them. They are so fun, curious, sweet natured, and easy to raise. Well once you get them past the baby stage.
Last year I had toms dressed between 10 and 20 lbs. most ranged right around 13 to 15 which is a nice size for a small family.
