Is it possible for a chick to imprint? Lolthe only way zip will eat is when sydney taps her finger!
Vicki sure picked a good needy little chick for her :) syd loves all the yelling zip does if she walks away!!

Someone please help me!!! I went out to check on the broody hen and one of her chicks had gotten away from her and was in another nest box. She has all the feather off the back of her neck and the wound is red and yellow. I took her in the house and put her in the incubator for now, but how do I address the wound/ Idon not have any bluekote or anything like that. Peroxide? Triple Antibiotic oitnment?
ETA_- just went out to check the other chick and Mary the broody had left the nest and another chicken was in there. The other chick that was there is dead. I took the rest of the eggs and brought them into the incubator. I'm done. I can't believe this is happening.....

I LOVE beets! Mushrooms too. But DH thinks they taste "like dirt".  :tongue   He will eat them when I make them, though. Good thing, cuz I throw mushrooms in darn near everything. Yum!
I was the pickiest darn eater when I was a kid. Now I'll eat darn near anything I'm not allergic to. I'm still working on getting some of you to try one of my favs. Yeah Terri, you know what I'm gonna say. You warn everyone about it. Yup. Here it comes. Head cheese!  :lau    Here we go again!  ;)

Love this:). My mother in law makes head cheese every time we butcher. I was skeptical......it is nothing like that weird jelly crap from Oscar Mayer!! It's pretty good!

I love brussels sprouts, have a bunch started. :) not sure about the daisy dukes though.....although I am sure it would be quite funny.

Sooo sorry everyone for all the losses:(
